Hey guys (and gals)... Sorry I haven't been commenting or posting much, but when it rains it pours. I've just been bombarded with work and new job offers (rare in my field, so I take 'em when I can get 'em... hehe) I will try to comment when I can, but am leaving tomorrow for a 5 month gig and the housing that they have for me has no internet so it will be dial up through my cell when I get the chance. Thank you all for the comments, I will eventually be posting the final draft of my last piece as soon as i get a chance to finish it. It's come a long way from the original already. Thanks Again, R

ok.. i think i'd like to join. i deleted my gallery a few weeks back, so right now there's only one image that i had replaced. i was going to put the whole gallery back and then found out that i could only post one a day unless i became a premium member. i will post more soon. but testing the waters a bit before i go through the trouble. i am always open to critisism (which i usually state in every post) no matter how harsh. thanks karen... looking forward to this. damn! I'm always a day late! I just pulled my gallery down because for two years I had been trying to get constructive criticism and my work barely got looked at. I guess I wasn't showing enough flesh in them. It seems there have only been 2 ways to get viewed and/or critiqued in the galleries (and most people don't critique, they "comment" with all the woderful coddling one could ask for) 1.) nudes. It's gotten to be close to being a porn site with all the nudity here. Not that I'm a prude by any means, but 80% of the nudes here are just nude for being nude and they are the #1 viewed and commented on. I once saw a render in the gallery that I thought had to be a joke. the lighing was bad, the pose was bad to the point where the limits were off and the models arm was "corkscrewed" to get the had in the position they wanted it. The hair was not for that character and they didn't even try to get it to fit, but... it was nude and had breasts that would give Dolly a back ache just looking at them. Yet, tht artist had like 20+ glowing comments how amazing the piece was and how superb the lighing and pose were. 2.) be in the "In Crowd." I've noticed that many artists here are always commented on by the same 20 or 30 artists. All patting each other on the back. And I'm not saying that alot of the work doesn't deserve it. I've seen many many fine artists here, my point is that they all seem to have their own support group and if you're not part of that group then you don't exist. I wish this had been around before I had decided to delete my gallery. I had started posting here originally when I first started using Poser. The whole 3d artwork world was brand new to me and I thought that by posting and getting some critisism and perhaps pointers, then I could learn the program easier. But alas in 2 years I have gotten 1 cunstructive commen, which made a world of difference to the work, and a very small handful of comments which I am grateful for those who took the time for that. Oh well... enough rambling. There's artwork to be made. ;) Perhaps one day I'll post again. R

I was having the same problem and what I did was hide the body parts under the clothing. Worked like a charm. R

lol.. yes. The camera is locked in place. (I made that mistake earlier haha) I think the problem is adding the run. For some reason somewhere along the line it is calculating the run about 15 frames b4 it begins no matter how many locked actors or consistant parts there are. I discovered this when I deleted the running section of the animation and the characters stayed put. Now I just have to figure out what's causing that or render the run as a seperate animation and hope I can seamlessly edit them. The problem is, they all start to run at different times, so there will always be someone skating b4 the run. Thanks for the help. R

I like solution 3 A LOT, but unfortunately, they want one shot. It's a comic book cover coming to life and they want to see the full page. I think option two would be my best bet. I've already finished the basic animation short of hands and expressions and don't want to start the whole thing again from scratch. (I don't suppose I could lock them between poses? lol) Anyway.. thanks.. I'll give it a shot. R

hmmmm.. tried running the script and it made the standing even worse and lined everyone up so they're all running in the same line. The running looks great (although I wasn't actually looking for them to all run in a straight ine), but now the standing part (even when standing idol) they're all over the place. a simple arm move sends them sliding. Oh well... back to the drawing board as they say...
