Aye, they look great! Perhaps some engine flare, or exhaust...? Modeling space ships is much more satisfying than modeling water ships. I hate thoe stupid things... uh, sails? And ropes?!?!

Aye, I'll give that a shot as soon as the first take is done rendering. It's taking ten hours or so, but I suppose it's because of the light dome and the reflections.

This was my first attempt at a protoDragon head, in Rhino, a few months back... Not as smooth as I need it to be, but I've attached it to the Millenium Dragon's body and boned the neck and head parts in Poser before. It animates smoothly. I'll probably re-do it all soon. For Danamo : Yes, it can. Rhinoceros quite frankly leaves Wings in the dust, period. The only modelers that can realy keep up with Rhino...? There aren't any. Even Solidworks lacks many of the features of Rhino 3. To say that Rhino only does machines and cars and such is wrong, check out their website. Here's some more examples of what Rhino can do... http://rhino3d.com/graphics.htm http://gallery.mcneel.com/?language=en&g=11 http://gallery.mcneel.com/?language=en&g=9 http://gallery.mcneel.com/?language=en&i=12324 (The last is a really cool little ride...) I'm not really trying to be egotistical about this program, it's just a tool for me. But there's a reason that is costs so much money, and Wings is free... That sounds so f'in elitist, I think I'm gonna go wash my typing fingers out with soap...!Thread: Minimum Resolution For Print | Forum: Photoshop
Aye, and buying a printer at home that can print that big would cost thousands... I see your point now, Peter...

Aye, I believe you, Utak, but I'll check your gallery because I want to, not because i doubt you! I live in Seattle, there are hundreds of imaging shops everywhere, and they all are very, very costly. It's the nature of competition. I hope you understand that I wasn't trying to degrade your info. I'll look around next time I'm printing, and see if I can find a cheaper way...

Aye, thanks for the tips, Aprilgem... I always wondered about that situation, and figured the people at Adobe would have found a way...

It's the Dragon's Lair theme for Window Blinds. Object Desktop, by Stardock... My only problem is poly count. Currently, this tower has over a half million polygons in Bryce, making it useless... Sorry for jumping the gun, everyone.

Aye, you might be right, Gog. But alas, Play, the cmopany that published Amorphium 1, was also the company that did the T-1000 in 'Terminator 2'. This was the first visual example, aside from 'The Abyss' of metaballs. They are the ones who developed the technology, and thus i give them the credit for it.

I've never used adjustment layers...? What are they? A million great tips here, thanks Bone and Hoof and April... Hoof, when using the lasso, if you DID cough...? You could Shift-click to add to your selection, or Alt-click to subtract from it...

Aye, but how much is "way cheaper"? If ink and paper are purchased properly, then I'm certain one could at least equal a Digital Lab's prices, and at your own convenience.... Bonestructure and Serenity seem to be on the right track. Thanks for the info, and I enjoy the PPI idea as well, BoneStructure...

Yeah, yeah. Not to sound like an elitist, or alienate ANYONE... I didn't want to do this but... Rhinoceros, people. Rhino 3D. RHINO. Nobody cares about Flamingo or Penguin or Elephant, really. But Rhino rules, and now that I shelled out so much money for it, there's no way I'm stepping down to any pansy little FREE modelers. (Truth is, a jewelry customer of mine paid for Rhino as the first phase of a computer-generated jewelry company, it's not like I shelled out a penny for it myself! But don't tell anyone that, it'll make me seem cheap...!) Still, Bryce is my renderer of choice. It's clean and simple for me, and although I also use Lightwave, LW is not for making art but for making movies. I'd never even consider doing a still in LW, it would take ten times as long and be five times as tedious. I'll stick with my Bryce/Rhino/Poser/Photoshop apps for my imagery, thank you.

Aye, Erosia, that's about as far as I got in Wings, too! Once I started to learn Rhino, the other modelers (Amapi, Truespace, Amorphium, Wings, etc.) just didn't make any sense to me. Good luck to you, don't get discouraged, a few quick tutorials and you'll be making awesome stuff in no time!

Aye, when this technology first hit the public market, in Amorphium, we wre trying all kinds of weird stuff. Back then they were called, "Biospheres", and it was a blast... I'm curious why you'd want to do metaballs in another program, though, just to import them into Bryce? Lightwave and Amorphium already did that...
