Removing the www seems to work for me too now. Although it's a bit hard every now and then accessing other parts of the site, I just copy and paste the url for each section and remove the www. Its a pain but at least I get my daily rendo fix :oD ... After a hard day at work I need some R&R .. Renderosity and Relaxation. Crosses fingers and hits the create message button....

Am still having intermittent problems accessing parts of the site. I seem to be able to get into the forums ok sometimes, but if I want to get to other parts of the site I get timed out. A couple of times before this it wouldn't even let me onto the site and gave me a timeout message. :o( Hope it gets fixed real soon. It's a teensy bit frustrating...

I thought it was just me that had the problem, so at least we know what it was now. The funny thing was that RDNA had the same issues so it must have been pretty big. I couldn't access this site or theirs, it kept timing out or informing me that this "item" (cant remember the exact term used)contained no data... I use Mozilla Firefox so I tried IE6.0 and it went to the "This site may be having technical difficulties" screen. Thanks for letting us know Lillian.
Thread: how much do you get paid for being a designer? | Forum: Community Center
You people are crazy...LOL! I love Monty Python and have been a big fan for ever, almost... But if you have heard a lot of Python, go check out a post in the forum "Product Showcase" under Ironclads...Cardinal Biggles posted..wtg!! Hmmm nobody expected the "Spanish Inquisition" to post..heh heh.
Graphic designing doesn't pay much no matter what country you're in. Thanks for the link Terra Dreamer, it was most informative...
I was rather amused to discover that when I went to the other countries section, we Aussies (Australia) supposedly have a state called Alabama. Interesting! Did we do a swap and no one noticed? :o|

This is really amazing. I think the texturing is superbly detailed and depending on the cost, I know someone who would love this as a present... Will definitely be checking this out. Thank you for sharing these pics. I will look forward to the release.

Hello ramphot, I did a google search for "IT expert roles and responsibilities" and it gave me the above link amongst many others so I thought I'd post it. Google can be very helpful, depending on how you word your search query (and spell it too unfortunately)...good luck. I hope this helps.Thread: A New Presence | Forum: Fractals
I've just clicked on your site link Maria and I agree with Monica it is a very easy to handle/use website and your images are wonderful. I've always enjoyed looking at your images here on Renderosity so I'm happy for you that you have your own website. I hope all goes well with it. Helen.
Thread: I'm back & updates | Forum: Fractals
Welcome back online. Glad all seems to be well now with your computer.Count me in as a fan of the FVS too. I love going through some of the older fractals, some of them are just incredible. It seems that the fractal community has always had great talent judging by those you present each week. I also enjoy the Fractal Weekly Window and the choices there are absolutely stunning so no, you are not just doing it for yourself. I think you are doing a great job Barb, keep it up :o)

I've just spent the better part of half an hour going through all those wonderful images. I agree, thanks for the link, it was definitely a real treat.
Thread: The Fractal Window Weekly...June12-June18-2005! | Forum: Fractals
Slow week? I don't think so hewsan. Your image "String Theory" is wonderful and I enjoyed looking at it every bit as much as I enjoy looking at all the others. Wonderful selection again this week Nick.

Hi Tim, and I did not take offence or anything else to your comment. I'm a firm believer in people stating the truth, it's a very under rated philosophy as of late (In real life and for me, I mean) so I appreciate your honesty. If well done is something you feel should be said then I think it is a wonderful comment. As I stated, I'm happy with all/any comments I receive, be they bad, good or indifferent. It helps me to focus. And I applaud Linda for her honesty. I value it a great deal. Why is that just lately people seem to be afraid of honesty? (online and off) Just a thought.
Thread: Fractal Vintage Showcase #7 - May 2002! | Forum: Fractals
Just a quick thought. How difficult would it be for other artists to go back and look through the galleries from say 2002 and put their favourite "Vintage" in a link. That way, each artist could put forward an image and you could call it "artists choice showcase" or somesuch... goes back to browsing the 2002 gallery. Is having waaay too much fun. :o)
Thread: Fractal Vintage Showcase #7 - May 2002! | Forum: Fractals
I'm not terribly observant... Just discovered I can look through many other fractal images from back in 2002 by hitting the "back to the gallery" link above left of the image... Thanks for the Showcase Barbara, I love looking through this as much as I love looking through the Fractal Weekly Window. Excellent choices.
Thread: To Comment..or Not To Comment | Forum: Fractals
I'm feel that I'm not anywhere in the league of some of the incredible "fractallists" here in this forum, so to me, I cherish each and every comment I get, even if it is only one. It gives me direction and makes me smile to think that I've made at least one person happy enough to leave a lovely comment. Plus I do the images for my own benefit sometimes, it can be very therapeutic. I agree with you Linda in that you should only post a comment on something that grabs your attention. I also try to be helpful to the artists who are just starting out and I don't think it hurts to leave a word or two of encouragement if you feel that image has impressed you. But I am like a number of others in this thread, I would rather get one honest comment, no matter what it said, than 25 comments saying my image is gorgeous(without stating what about the image is gorgeous) or a V when I myself don't think the image deserves it. (Steps down off soapbox)..
