I am using Vue 4.2. It is an obvious programing gliche. I too have uninstalled and reinstalled Vue. I hope not to have to do that w/ Poser too. The reason I got Vue was for the ease of taking my Poser scenes into a realistic environment. Something that they claimed could be done w/ the latest vers. And yes, they are nice. But I had to practiclly jump throught hoops to get a discount that they said I could have as long as I registered at any time later. The problem had to do w/ the fact that they have only the direct product now (same thing w/o and box) and the ordering system was not recognizing my discount because it was for the full edition, (again, same thing w/o the box). It took 2 weeks and about 6 messages to actually get my copy of Vue ordered, and I still can't open the poser scene. :( Thanks, Rhonda
Thread: Vue & Poser import - why not? | Forum: Vue
Hi there, I too am having a very simular problem. I had the Vue demo installed and attempted to load P5 files and got an invalid SN message. After calling CL I found out that this was before the latest patch in which Vue was suppose to have been made fully compatable w/ P5. Well w/ the latest updates I decided to go ahead and get Vue. Well, imagine my dissmay when I got the dreaded : "unable to read file" message. I figured it was because of the fact that it had said before that it was not valid and it just won't look again. "residual crap left behind" I don't have Poser 4 installed anymore. I need to know in Detail how you got Vue to look for the poser exe file again? I don't have a spare HD and I would hate to have to re-install P5 or rename it?? If I renamed it how would that effect poser? Please, please share! lol. I am anxious to make something w/ my new toy! The reason I got it was to do scenes w/ poser figures. I too am bored w/ Poser renders. I have Bryce 5 but it is too frustrating for me importing poser figures. There is way too much to do to make them look right in Bryce. Thanks, Rhonda

Awesome Work! I already liked her, now I like her even more! I have been working on a texture set for her too. Is this going to be one character head/morph or a combination of them? I hope it is several morphs w/ an a face/expression file to apply after injecting or applying the morphs. That way we could make lots more faces for her. And freebies are nice but if you come up w/ a good set of injections that can be used to make diff. Characters, I would be willing to pay a few bucks for it. Thanks, starlight64

Thanks a bunch Mac! I saved it and will go get the seam guides you mentioned too. I have to break from trying to learn modeling. If I work on one or the other too long it gets tiresome and boring. lol. Especially when I get stuck on something like this. Thanks again, Star****

Thanks, I will give it a go. I am using P5 but am very familiar w/ P4 also. Yeah, the transparency was giving me a headache. Like I said, even experienced texture creators seem to be having trouble w/ them. I was having trouble w/ the location too. But I have never did any body textures at all. Star****
