Absolutely - Ana, Tyler and Miki4 need more stuff!
I've pretty much stopped buying anything new now. I just convert the stuff I already have to use for those three and make them new dynamic stuff.
I would've loved if Xurge had done more for Ana and Tyler. Most of the things for them that were in the MP here weren't things that interest me.
It's a real shame there was never more support for Miki4, she's so cute!

Chris Creek was one of the co-founders of Zygote/Daz. Chris is one of the founders of Hivewire, along with Eric Merritt, also a co-founder of Zygote. Chris is also behind the ever popular "Dancing Baby", Dork, Posette, Victoria, and Michael.

Yes. I know.
My meaning was that the successful launch strategies for the Daz figures do not appear to have been transferred.

Quote - Gahhh... Poser update threads drive me crazy! Not because there are so many, but because I feel I have to chime in whenever I see one!
My concern is usability... I have put a lot of hours into Poser projects over the last couple of years, surely up there with those making a living at it and the truly obsessed. It's always tempting ot ask for a huge new feature like a modeling room or some radical change like replacing Poser hair with TressFX, but my goodness, it's the little things that eat hours of productivity over the course of every project I work on.
It is so annoying having to reset jpg compression for export. I'm currently working on sprites for a game, and I need to save both jpgs (to see the lit sprite against the proper bg color) and as pngs (to save with trnsp bg for use in-game). This means changing the compression for each time I change the filetype.
And can it be really that hard to add a dropdown filelist to the save requestor? The last project I completed made thsi an absolute pain as I was working with dozens of files that were only a letter and/or number different, and in such a way that copy/paste saved very little time. It just seems like an easy fix to me. Am I worng that there's no way to save an item to the library without typing its name, even when the item is already present?
And I don't know how content makers don't go nuts over Poser's only remembering one file path. The sequence of mporting an object, changing or locating a texture, rendering an image, exporting the object (after a morph or group change) requires redirecting Poser 4 times. Would only be two if Poser could remember locations for objects and images separately. Would be ecstatic for Poser to have user default paths for obj. import, jpg. export (I use for wips and thumbnails), png. export (I save as frames to compress), video export (uselss ATM), and mat room image import (much more likely a texture folder than a rendered image folder). I'm sure I'd also want this for all of the export types I'm not using if I were.
And the icing on the cake would be if when I'm in the mat room and attempt to replace a 2D image Poser would take me straight to the folder the in-use image image is in. I think as often as not the intended replacement file might be there too (esp. if you sort your skins by figure, textures into cloth, metal, wood, stone etc. as I do).
I'd even pay for an interim update just addressing those types of issues.
After those are addressed I don't care what they add. I'm sure anything they see fit to incorporate will be a great improvement. But I do worry about the future of Poser with intriguing combinations such as Mixamo Fuse+Unity/UE4 now being almost affordable. Will animators start moving to realtime solutions and abandon Poser to the illustrators? Will Poser users in general ever see benefits from things like TressFX, Fuse or fast HQ realtime game engines?
Yes! Sorry, I have to quote the whole of this post, because - Yes!
All these little time-wasters are so annoying. And the really most annoying one for me is the totally inability to select multiple items. Even my ancient copy of DS2 I use for exporting objects can do all these things. To do them in Poser needs hordes of add-on scripts, or just to live with it. I can't think of a single other piece of software I own that is so hobbled!

I never downloaded her either. The idea was interesting - well a new figure is always potentially interesting - but as soon as I saw the promos I lost interest. Didn't look anything close to V4 or GNDA2 and not very much different from V3. Not something I need. To live up to the hype she would've needed to be something much more.
I haven't followed Daz since Genesis was released, but they always seem to be very good at creating hype for a new figure (or variation on a figure) and then following through. I guess the guys who formed the Hivewire team weren't the ones responsible for the Daz figure launches.

Menu: Render/Reload Textures
No. That doesn't remove the unused textures.

I want a quick flush for the texture cache and the ability to select multiple.... anythings! Why does Poser make it unnecessarily complicated to carry out simple tasks?
Also a better hair room and cloth room would be nice. :)

Tell me, my fellow rendernauts, is imploding her cells from the inside out too harsh a punishment?
No. This is precisely what cellular implosion was made for.

Quote - You can control everything ( as shown in the sg) without the need to select each figure.. :)Â ... Makes things a bit easier ..
That's useful.
I'm only using the tail though at the moment.
Thread: anybody have the new Hivewire Horse? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
In the Hivewire Tail -> Body -> Parameters there's Actor -> Tail. Under that there are a load of easypose controls for the tail.
For some reason the first time I tried it there was nothing at all under Actor, they only appeared when I restarted Poser.
Thread: anybody have the new Hivewire Horse? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Oh. Just restarted Poser and they've appeared under "Actor", there was nothing there before. Weird. Must be the weather or something

Where do I find the tail controls? I've looked all over Poser and I can't see them anywhere. All I can see is Bend, Side-Side etc. on each section, but there's 31 Tail Controls hiding somewhere....

I got just the horse. I don't need the poses. I got a load of points for signing up so used the max of those off the price.
I don't like the default shape much at all, but I guess I can squeeze it into some different shapes. Or maybe I'll just see how the mane and tail look on the Mil horse.
Thread: anybody have the new Hivewire Horse? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Well I decided to get the horse. Now will I ever actually get around to throwing it over to my render machine and installing it?
So much stuff that never gets beyond being downloaded....

Creature Morphs and Ethnic Faces (or whatever it's called) are an absolute must for me. Make M4 much more useful.
