I think a good texture and hair goes a long way in whether a
character looks realistic or not. Oliveramberg's looks very good and the mole is a nice touch

I've had this happen to me. Save your file, exit Poser. Then start up Poser again and load your file. That should fix it. Somehow Poser gets corrupted sometimes gets corrupted while it is running and I guess needs to be reset.

Also are your video card drivers up to date? Mine crashed on arrival just like that. I have an Nvidea card and after I went to their website and downloaded and installed the latest drivers, Poser 6 worked perfectly.

Poser 5 is still on the partition, but I never use it anymore because I like Poser 6 a lot more. But it's a big partition
so I never felt the need to remove Poser 5, thinking that someday I might need it for something. If you are running
out of disk space I could see where you might want to remove it though.

It sort of looks like this may be because the car is floating slightly above the ground. Have you tried dropping the car down slightly and seeing if this helps?

Yeah, I noticed that, but it's faint enough that I can live with it now.

Make sure you have a good video card with the latest drivers. I would recommend something by Nvidia, the newer the better. I also wouldn't NOT tranfer you libraries, but rather just keep them in the folders where they are at now and just link them to Poser 6 through the Poser 6 program. 1 gig of RAM seems to work okay for me, but if you are doing complex scenes, a lot of people think 2 gigs helps. Open GL is used in Poser 6 to give you a preview mode that looks more like the final render. This is mainly why you need the Nvidia card, because GL works best with this card.

DIVX seems to have a problem when trying to write too large a file. I have had this happen too and one solution is to write a smaller resolution file, ie 640x480. Also using a lower quality seems to help. The best bet is to render individual frames and use an external program to join them together.

Make sure the file your cr2 or pp2 or pz2 has the exact same name and extension as the file in your texture folder. One letter or number off and Poser will never find it. Also make sure your folder paths in your files are correct

Male Mostly render females. In fact about the only time I add a male to the scene is to give the female something to do :o)
