Dome thingies can produce strage results, this is one of the first I did in V3, dome-in-dome intersection with a opaque outer shell and 100% transparent inner (inner has a hightlight density of 200%). 1 (one) 50 power light somewhere in the middle, tree & rest was deco only.

How do you get that cloudshadow effect?, it makes things look a lot less plasticky. I can't remember seeing that "earlier" post.

Lifetime free upgrade deals on the internet last as long as "the grass grows,the wind blows and the sky is blue" but in 999/1000 they are over within a year. If you feel you are entitled to the free upgrades you're being denied treat the company in kind.

Played a little more with the info , still not getting where I want to go but getting closer. Found that if the power of a light gets over 1000 it loses any color , tried blacklight of 2000 and it was just as bright as whitelight. Goes to show :)

Just received an email from Right Hemisphere with a link to the free ( to registered users ) upgrade to the 3D Explorer Enterprise edition. RH is imho one of the more decent companies , when I had trouble installing the D/L version of Deeppaint , they send me the boxed version free of charge.

Talking about plants, PlantStudio 2 beta 3 was released on feb 21st, it has now additional 3 exports:Lightwave LWO, Wavefront OBJ and VRML. Improvements to 3DS ? , DXF and POV formats as well. In the PS beta 2 version I had to go through 3D Explor before Vue would accept the 3DS format, in the beta 3 the 3DS is read by VUE but the plant is messed up in a big way , it does show up OK in 3D Explor. The LWO and OBJ exports are imported fine in Vue.
