I believe there is a demo with several functions disabled.....but apparently it costs the same as the full version.
Thread: How long to P5 ships to UK? : / | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I'm sure badgering / pestering won't have any effect anyway. Anyone even had an e-mail to notify of despatch?

Yes FraxFlame is one of the Photoshop plug-in filters (set 5) produced by the old Meta-creations (Kai Kruse's outfit) It produces pretty much an identical effect to the ones you've produced in Gimp. Uses colour gradients and logarithmic fractal generations to produce the effect. I would guess Gimp does the same thing. What I was interested in was the trans map which presumably allows you to map out the black in the image giving you that cool dragon flame effect. I'll have to go back to Fraxflame and see if it will produce an alpha map.

hmmm frustrating isn't it. Still its been helpful to read all the tips and experiences of our friends across the pond. My impression is that people are already beginning to sort out some of the problems (tho clearly there are some pretty significant software issues that CL will have to resolve)

Pleasure.. look forward to seeing how you get on and maybe over at rDNA... newbies very welcome.
Thread: Question re: Rhino and Poser | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I agree _ Flamingo is completely non-essential. Rhino is my modeller of choice and there are some great tut's and forums out there. Also have a look over at Xurges Rhino forum/tutorials over at rDNA where conforming clothing is discussed. If you are in a position to benefit don't over look the academic discount.

Kupa..placatory words maybe BUT well done for stepping in to the maelstrom (spelling?!. why no spell-checker in Rosity_ you guys!!)Its good to hear you are all on the case (and at least you aren't in the West Indies yet) We are an impatient bunch and perhaps we should be more patient than we are, but its all down to the excitement that's developed over the last few months_some of it CL induced. If its helped the cash flow to get this out before it was really ready fine (and thanks for being honest about that) but you do need to deliver.. things are obviously running pretty close to the wire over there. I for one am confident that you can get it sorted and make this an unparralled piece of software. Keep talking .. keep us on board. cheers

Thanx for the +ve cruzan.. boy do I need it. I've just defragged my hard drive in preparation for the arrival of the new infant.(nice clean sectors for the little tyke to lay his head) No nasty virus to give him the sniffles. Just waiting for that final grunt when he lands on the doormat, and I'll be a happy daddy... sleepless nights, tears and triumph.
