Well, I tried the Sierra Architect 3.0. It does export in 3D dxf format. No textures. That would not have been a problem, but, since the model exports as a single, unbreakable group, I cannot ungroup so as to add textures inside Bryce or Poser. There has to be a way. I am no modeling expert obviously, but, there has to be a way. If someone can think of it, I would be most appreciative.
Thread: Corel got Bryce, KPT, and Painter | Forum: Bryce
I posted this over in the Poser forum also, so I apologize for the crosspost, but, thought you might want to see it also. Corel has already promised a new version of Bryce by the end of the year. See Reuters story at: http://biz.yahoo.com/rf/000410/lr.html

Steve, Jim: Tried what you suggested and they loaded without a hitch. Thanks for the quick help guys. I really appreciate it. I had a feeling it would be something simple, but, for some reason that never came to mind. Jim, I'll be back for more. ;) Take care, guys.
Thread: Why I created the dress --Galadrials Mirror (Tolkien) | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I think Shadownet put forward the best evidence and statement of the quality of your work on this. If it was a cover illustration, would it do what is intended -- get the potential reader to pick up the book and open it? And the answer is a resounding yes!

That could easily be a cover illustration. I think it is definitely that good. In fact, better than a great many covers I have seen. Keep up the fantastic work, James. And thank you for sharing!

Being a student (rather a fanatic actually) of Egyptian, Greek, Roman and Persian history for well over... ah, hmmm... for well over more decades than I care to admit, I agree with Melanie that it is not exactly historically accurate in the clothing line. However, as art I think it is beautifully done and excellent work! The detail in the background, both the wall drawings and the wall and step textures, is awesome! Cerrin, keep up the great work and tell the history students to sit in the back. ;)
Thread: Anaglyphs (Red/Blue images) 101 in Poser - Interested? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I am wondering if there is a set, definite degree measurement in moving the x axis or if this varies depending on the object(s) in the window? I ask because my few experiments have turned out less than impressive. And, yes, I would appreciate your tutorial, James. Very much so. DLM

For what it is worth, I just downloaded Shauna with no problems. It might have just been net congestion or it could have been Yahoo/GeoCities problems. Just to let everyone know that the links do appear to be working.

Communion, with all due respect, the Allchin letter was a masterful work of public relations double-speak. And some of that "bogus" reporting comes some from very respected sources. Now, I am encouraged by some of the reports I read here. However, based on Microsoft's past promises of stability (yes, I remember their promises for Windows 95 AND 98), I will wait this one out for a bit and let others wallow through it. I have talked to net-admins who have tested and trashed Win2000. To be fair, I have also talked to net-admins who openly state that it is the "... best Windows product yet..." I leave it to the those veteran Windows combatants out there to determine whether that is a compliment or not.
