I have solved my horrendous render-crash problems. I decreased the hardware acceleration on my windows Display | Settings | Advance | Troubleshoot option tab. I had my setting to Full hardware acceleration, so I moved it down 2 notches. This I learnt from the Curious Lab P6 Knowledge base. To increase my chances of not crashing, I went into Windows System | Advanced | Performance | Settings. Here I did 2 things - A) Visual Effects tab: select Adjust For Best Performance (this may change the visual look on your screen) B) Advanced tab: Virtual memory - opt to Change; select System Managed Size on all available hard drives (this changes what Windows does with the size of its swapfile). This I learnt from fellow members here at Renderosity. Re-booted computer. Launched Poser 6. Ah !...... no more grief and tearing my hair out.

Thanks from me too, yggdrasil - maybe I'll go tweak my pc a little bit on the swap file. Thanks Khai, for bringing this up as well. I'm still behaving like a baby and using Poser 4 for now.

..... guess what, folks, ... I think for now, I'm retreating to my comfort zone of Poser 4. Too many crashes with Poser 6. Sad. Too Bad. I'm telling myself that I bought Shade 7 LE and Poser 6 came bundled with it. Tsk, tsk.

I upgraded my nVidia driver with their 11 March 2005 upgrades, so everything works fine now !! Sheesh, I feel both foolish and happy at the same time !

Hey All, I got mine working now ! nVidia upgraded their video drivers on 11 March 2005, and I didn't know about that recent update. I did the upgrade on-line for my video driver and presto ! My Poser 6 works !!

Not for me it isn't, I can't get past the launch to the workspace. I have allowed my Windows XP SR2 firewall to be nice to Poser 6 - no good. I have nVidia GeForce video card which worsk fine for that picky DAZ Studio competitor, as well as for Poser Artist.

I have had the crash each of the 5 times I've tride to launch Poser 6 - I dropped my firewall on windows XP SR2, and I have a nVidia Geforce card which works fine for my Poser Artist and DAZ Studio lastest release version.

Thread: Really want some V3 Male stuff | Forum: The MarketPlace Wishing Well
I believe M3 hi-res textures should work for the V3 male. I do swop some of mine around between figures now and then. In addition, would anyone be able to say if there are clothing morphs that will change V3's clothes to fit V3 Male ? I know the DAZ V3 t-shirt has those morphs to do so. Any other clothing items that have similar convertability?

Pass me a "Kleenex", and "Xerox" me a copy, and that dumb-founding question sure is a "Poser" to me.
