Thread: multi-princess | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Thanks for the nice comments. The multi-character model is the one that has Francine, Betty, Ana...the read me did not give the forum name but I think it was on the free stuff page. The braid is a captured brush...I am not too much of a whiz on that but I think it can be done in Painter 5.5; by the way there are patches for painter6 that seem to fix the out of the box problems....painter6 is great fun.

the dustcloud is one of those elongaged sphere thingys and I applied a cloud as the texture, then went into materials and adjusted the colors...duplicated a couple times moved the duplicates around and there you have dust clouds... The highlights are not so hard to add, basically I did a texture that was a bit multicolored to start with, then adjusted the lights in Bryce also. You have to diddle with it a bit but with a little practice it comes out alright... just try and if you don't like it undo...if it looks ok, then save....try some other stuff. that is the neat thing about using digital materials, there is no mess, no redo'ing everything if it goofs up....(only have to look out for system death...!...but if you save often then go back and dump the images you don't need...also you can go different ways with the same picture.

basically this went through three separate stages. first the texture is built and applied in poser then exported into bryce 4, arranged and situated. then the image is saved and brought into photoshop for some work on the mane and tail, highlights and detail (head area mostly); then the image is smudged some (i really had a problem with the redness of the highlights and fiddled with it to adjust light, and color. I will post an image showing the stages as horse stages.

Thank you for the comments; Painter 6 gave me fits at first, I had to download the new wacom drivers then it worked; still a few problems but worth it overall;

Thank you for the suggestions. I am not quite familiar with the finer points of Bryce yet, this was done in Bryce 4; I will try the full blown render, I wondered about the tree-parts; off to see if I can get it all rendered as suggested. Bumps....well I need to work on that part.... Lorraine

Thank you for the helpful comments, I was having a problem with the neck, I did try the twist the neck, twist the head; I did the vignette and the post lighting to see if I could get rid of the twist; I think it has a lot to do with the angle of the lighting. I need to work on it as I think the pose itself has promise....I tried smudging...and that worked on what appeared to be a seam on the arm due to the txture map; I will try some more... thank you again I have really learned a lot from the comments...

I was looking for a "painted" look, not a photo look; mostly I am trying to learn the variations with the photoshop layers, I also did apply different colored lights which changed it again. Thank you for your comments.

I love these pictures! They seem to express a unity, the backgrounds and scenes are part of the message...very nicely done!
