Ok just for clarification (To me a dummie ), It is ok to use vss skin shader with IDL and GC (if it comes from poser pro 2010 renders setting), not just the GCÂ within the skin shader, right?

Yep I've thought I noticed this, but it's not consistent, and wasn't sure it was poser causing it.

Wrinkle (bump maps?) are only part of the solution, there is age spots, and I think somehow the aged skin will react differently to the light, but maybe that's just the smoothness gone.Â

I think it is great the people behind poser product even come on the forums. You don't see that with most products. I had an issue with a monitor a month after I bought it, I could not email anyone from the company, send mail, or talk to anyone on the phone. The closest I got a was a call center in India with some dolts who wouldn't know the difference between a CRT or LCD monitor, and wouldn't let me speak to their boss. At rendo I have seen posts from the poser team who have tried to help with technical issues or give heads up.
Having and issue with something and complaining, are not the same thing.

@hborre first off I'd like to say thanks for explaining the rules and other parts in a recent thread. I read the read me, pdf, and other sources about how to do those things, but could never get it to work. You explanation just clicked for some reason (did you use a jack hammer?)
I'd like to know about these hair shaders, and for some reason IÂ can't make the make template work correctly, the values are there but the original maps don't connect. Could you explain that part .

Sorry if I caused confusion, as stated above shiny did not refer to the specular qualities, but rather as odf said, shiny meaning really good.

I'm not sure which version of the skin shader your using, but you might want to check under skin template that the color map is plugged into the diffuse color.
