Thanks for the parenting tip, that seems to be my main problem, large movement, The problem must be in the axis of the original toonable kitty. I would agree that it probably wan not designed to be as "robustly" animated as I am trying to push it. It just really fits my project. Thanks Garee, I'm goign to check out the morph pack...
Thread: Convert A Prop To A Figure | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Thanks, I figured it out. Simply enter the Setup room, bring up the heierarchy window and drag all the props you want underneath a single prop. This will be the figures body. Then simply save it as pz3 file. Bring it into 3DSMax via the pro-pack plugin and there are all your textures with mangled map paths. This is exactly what I was looking for. The only thing better would have been if pro-pack actually got the pathing right. But that'll never happen. Thanks again, Enivob
Thread: Where are the IK goal position curves? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Thanks Ockham, that works! Just a note to users, if you use Ockham's script on the African Elephant (perhaps others?), you have to turn the IK chain off then on again to get the dials to appear. And just as I suspected, once the dials appear, the XYZTran curves appear in the curve editor as well.
Thread: Where are the IK goal position curves? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I think you missed the point Anthony. I already have the trunk as a working IK system. I am looking for the positional curve data for the trunk goal. Think of it this way. Consider any part of a poser figure, we'll cal it part X. Click on Part X. Now look at the dials for partX. You have scale, rots, bend etc. But you do not have any translation dials. (I don't know why) but you can still move it around using the translation tool. This allows you to build an animation for PartX. But you can't edit the translation graph data for PartX because it has no dials? Why, is there a way to make translation dials for PartX then the curves would show up in the curves editor?
Thread: Animating Using Python | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Stewer, I tried your code, but I get an error. Traceback (innermost last): File "", line 9, in ? AttributeError: AddKeyFrame I'm using Poser 4, if that matters. Any clues on why the code can not add a key frame? Scourge, I did pull down the scripts from that thread. I was not sure how I could make use of it, correct me if I'm wrong, but it looks like the script requires a walk cycle to be already in existance before you begin? I quickly scanned the code looking for syntax on how to add keys and could not find any. I'm not sure how the script is making the figure walk, care to rough outline it here? Thanks All Enivob Thanks
