Don't forget to resize the texture accordingly- if you have stetched a plane or a flattened cube the texture may appear stretched also, and that may not be what you want, especially if you want to create more realism.
For example, in your image you posted you could try reducing the scale of the brick texture along the 'x' axis (depending how your camera is wall is placed in the scene - it might be the 'z' axis). If you're not sure how to do this see the screen shot above. In the Materials lab you click the radio shown (first one on the top) which will open the Transformation tools as shown in the lower image. The scaling tools are the top set.
The mapping mode chosen can also be important (see my tips on that here)
I hope that helps.
Thread: Customizing the Bryce interface (tutoria) | Forum: Bryce
Quote - LOL just noticed ctrl+2,3 keys work to switch, so yeahhhh gonna say that's a bug that needs reported if it hasn't been already, I'll get it sent up the line.
With the long list of issues still outstanding and it listed as a known issue for years, I can't see that it'll get much attention..but submit a report by all means. Iv'e already submitted a bug for the fact that the pallette size (width) when moved as shown in the B7 manual does not reflect the width when actually moved in B7 - it would be better to have it the size shown in the B7 manual.

Well, I've tried out and the key commands that used to work and they don't work...here's what the DAZ 6 manual says under Known Issues:
(The Bryce 7 manual doesn't give any information about hiding palettes)
Unless they work in a Mac still ? I only have a PC.

Quote - They are "stacked" on top of each other, side to side and top etc, just hold down the space bar and drag the menu to where you want it, if you have multiple/mirrored monitors you can put your menus in the other screen as well.
Ah yes, of course you can do it that way, but what I was referring to was that in older versions (pre V6) you could hide them by key commands - this was removed and documented as such in the B6 manual.

Quote - Still works in the newest versions as well.
HI Clay, could you clarify? What works? Hididng the palettes?

Thread: Best GUI tutorial? | Forum: Blender
Being new to Blender I took at look at these tutorials here and thought they were fantastic

There are a number of tutorials which help with the interface, I think the first few are well taking the time to go through.
Thread: Renderosity Site Notifications | Forum: Community Center
How do you delete these ebot notifications. I have viewed all the ones I received (via old email system) but the notifications are still listed on the site....
I appreciate that Rendro are always trying to find ways to impove the site, which is great, but I wish you would keep the email notification and give us the option to choose either ebot or email - for me email notifications are great as I can link straight to the image/comment via the email. I don't really like the ebot system. and having a list of them as it appears they don't dissapear, and I have a lot of favourite artists.

Thread: And I had just gotten used to the blue | Forum: Community Center
I like the blue (except in the galleries, but it's been toned down so is better there now). Was surprised to see this brown/grey colour, but it works better I think as the text is easier to read, and thread titles stand out better too. So it should be better for some I think.
Thread: Why are great looking 3d models so cheap in price here? | Forum: Community Center
Thanks very much for your reply keppel (that typewriter is superb!). What you say makes a lot of sense and is kind of what I was assuming, but thought maybe I might be missing something. It's a shame I think that indeed the low prices can devalue the true worth of the model, and also that artists don't get a bigger reward for their skill - but yes, I see that's the nature of the market. And of course, it's like that in all streams of the art world - only a minority get recognized for what they do and can command prices of their choosing. But equally as you say, it's better to sell a lot at a lower price, than a few at a higher one.
Thank you to all the artists who are prepared to spend the time to make great models and textures and offer them to us at these kinds of prices!:) Maybe you all should have a donate button also so people who appreciate your skill and time can show it more if they want to:)
