Bugs=normal (unless you live in the Land of Oz) Find me 100% bug free software and than maybe you'll have a point.

Cool down Grim. It's free. Either way, I'd hardly call PS 7 "faulty". When was the last time any software product was released with no bugs at all? (answer=never) The bugs fixes were for the most part for little things. In fact out of the list of fixes they provided there was only one on there that affected me directly and now, it's fixed.

Grim the 7.0.1 update came out August 2002. There is a list of the bug fixes on the download page.

You should be aware that you can create an action out of any move or any comnination of moves that you make in Photoshop. Generally it's easier to just make your own action that to look for one that's premade to fit your needs.

Looks like they want to compete with Maya PLE (Personal Learning Edition). Much like Maya PLE the Softimage|XSI EXP is intended for non-commercial use only and output has been restricted with the use of watermarks on rendered images. The edge in this competetion that Maya has over Soft is that Maya is available on both Win and Mac OSX and Soft, only on Win.

Did you activate the light cones for the spots that you want to see the light shafts eminating from? If not, you will not see any shafts of light no matter how much fog is in the scene. Lights in Carrara do not react to fog the way lights in the real world do. Light cones in Carrara are not volumetric, they are post render effects. Activate the light cones in order to see the shafts. It's in the effects tray for each individual light. To get your desired effect, try it with and without the 3D shadow option turned on.
Thread: anyone have Infini-D 4.5 for PC | Forum: Carrara
Chris is correct. Infini-D 4.5 shipped as a hybrid CD. The CD contained installers for both Mac and Windows. If you have the CD to install on a Mac than you also already have the CD to install on the PC. It's the same CD.

You can say I have no eye for "esthetic sophistication" but no understanding of poetry? Ouch. You really know to hit below the belt. It'll take me sometime to recover from that one. All I'm saying is, after a space shuttle explodes durring reentry to then post an image of a shuttle with flames bursting out of it (on the very day no less) is to say the least, inappropriate. The fact that you can't see that is totally mind boggling.
Thread: Manuals and books | Forum: Photoshop
The original poster said that he's just gotten the software and was now faced with the task of learning how to use it. The logical first step is to read or at least look at the manuals. His post would seem to indicate that he did not so my reccomendation was to do so. I didn't say you shouldn't ever use any other books. I just said that I happend to find them mostly unnecessary. With an understanding of how the software works one only need to use it to learn its deeper aspects. Being spoonfed steps from a book results in generic output.

Abusive? I dont think so. I would however say that you are insensitive. Once again, even if a shuttle is "ablaze in an flaming ionized air" as you put it ,upon reentry, it is upon reentry that the shuttle was destroyed. Only somene who wasn't thinking would call an image like yours a "tribute". It's tactless. Concerning my gallery I believe you found it to be empty. I do not feel it necessary to post any work here as I'm not interested in anyone's opinions on it. If you post work you should beprepared for opinions both positive and negative. It seems you are not.

Your nephew appears to be correct. I did a search of the 1.1 content CD and there is no file by that name, nor is there a folder called "Inverse Kinematics". If I had found it I would have sent it to you.

A logo has to be able to be reproduced in 2 colors. So far, this one can not. Not necessarily. More often than not.

Grim is right, we only "implied". If you felt guity over anything, that's on you. However, you've protested so much that I guess I have believe that you did indeed pay for your software. You are a model citizen. Concerning the fact that you were "outraged" over the implications...well, if this is enough to get you outraged I suggest you loosen your collar a bit. You may be wound a little too tight. And since Retrocity asked again, I can recommend no books. I've never needed on and hence never used one other then the Adobe manuals.
