Thread: Hey! Puffy Pants! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
You didn't say what figure you want them for. Conforming clothes only fit the one figure, so we need to know. I made some for the P4 man a while back and may still have them. I believe the ones mentioned above were for Posette.

Have you had any success converting the old mts2 format as output by the existing plug-in? The MTS Scene Builder prog appears to allow them to be upgraded, but I've had other problems that stopped me from confirming that they work.

Thread: Looking for a poserable whip | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
CODY is hosting Sadie for me (I don't have the server space at the moment) and I forget if I included both whips in the file I sent him. There is a long bull whip, and a shorter one with multiple lashes (which is a pain to pose!). If you need the latter, and it's not included, email me for a copy.

That last tutorial sound like mine at The Ghastley site, but it was written for P3, so some things might have changed a little.
Thread: How should i set up a conforming robe's hierarchy? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
You're getting two classes of response here, so it might help to distinguish them. To make a robe into a conforming garment, it needs a hip and thighs, but need not have shins, as it won't move with them. The hip section should reach to the bottom between the thigh sections both back and front unless the front is open. It pays to make the bottom end wide enough for the legs not to pass through when the character walks. If you want some part of the robe to be movable independent of the wearer, then you need extra sections that do not have the same part names as the body parts, so that there will be no attempt at a conforming movement. Some of these may be better done with morphs, anyhow.

That sounds like a ten minute job to produce something. Slice off the unwanted parts of the male hip from the nude geometry and expand the mesh a smidgen. I'll see what I can do.
Thread: In defense of Millie | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Let me add some extra points in her favour. I think Zygote did exactly the right thing with this model. They've included the extra vertices that make extending this model possible, but they haven't overloaded her with "standard" MT's you don't ALL need. By keeping them separate, you keep the model size down, and reduce memory requirements in Poser. If there is ever a Poser 5, I'd like to see an MT library system, so they can more easily be stored separately and only brought in when needed, and Millie/Victoria is a step in that direction. Maybe Zygote know soemthing we don't?

I've also seen a post by Paul Hafeli, (and done the same thing myself afterward) where you copy the objects and reverse them, and pose the second copy behind the mirror to be the reflection. It's tedious, but the results are often worth it. The picture of Sadie on my site was done that way.
Thread: If not for Good, do it for Evil. (help conform this dress) | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Send me the dress and I'll give it a try. You have my email address from sending you Galadriel's.
Thread: transmapping the fem slacks, not working | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I get this problem so often, I've taken to editing the mesh instead of trying to remove parts with trans maps. Your symptom looks like highlight or reflective color not dead black, and sometimes you want a color for the part you can see, so you don't get a choice.
Thread: BEWARE!!--MetaStream files won't open on some web servers! | Forum: Animation
Also note that MetaCreations/MetaStream are not able to fix anything here. This is purely a Luddite attitude from the people responsible for the specific server installation.
Thread: BEWARE!!--MetaStream files won't open on some web servers! | Forum: Animation
The problem has nothing to do with extensions per se. The server has to have the MIME-type (also seen in the HTTP header as "Content-type:") defined as being associated with that extension, so that it adds the right line to the header when it sends it back out. I've successfully served MTS files from an IBM OS/390 CTS system that doesn't even know what a file extension is, because the server code gets the Content-type right. Your problem is that the sysprogs who run the server are not doing their job.

Poser 4 will save directly on Photoshop format (PSD) and that includes the alpha channel, which is useful in compositing pictures.
