Thread: New to Poser and can't figure it out | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
OK... thank you all very much... I'll see what info I can find on the Magnets and I guess I'll have to work on the clothing thing until I get it right. Thanks all... you've been great!

Something I noticed is that the "hot area" for scaling in any view isn't exactly where the black "hot spots" are. Sometimes they are off and I have to float the cursor around a bit to find it before clicking by watching the cursor to make sure it changes to a scaling instead of moving cursor. That may be the problem. Would be nice if e-on would fix that prob.
Thread: Tiling Terrains... here you go | Forum: Vue
I was having trouble with this with my Rainy Afternoon, and solved it by creating a tileable picture in Photoshop using Flaming Pear plugin Tesselation to wrap the pic along the top and sides and then saved the image as a grayscale bumpmap at 256x256 size. Then I just imported the image into the Terrain editor and viola. A tileable terrain. Was alot faster and created the same effect with the same results you are talking about. However, I'm sure that your method took alot out of you once you finally figured it out! Good job! I would have never thought of doing that myself.
Thread: Heads-up -- Poser technology surfaces in Vue d'Esprit | Forum: Vue
Wish they would team up with Truespace on that aspect... with it's gravity features and skinning abilities, importing a animation in Truespace would work alot better then in Vue. However, I agree that it would be nice if they allowed for the export of VOB objects rather then just the landscapes. Or for that matter at least upgrading the versions of files they are able to import... for example, alot of my Truespace objects I've made can't import into Vue because Vue only accepts version 2 of TS's objects and I'm up to version 5 of Truespace. I find that pretty annoying. Does that make sense?
Thread: Strange light on 3ds model import | Forum: Vue
Looks fine to me... the "roundness" you're seeing is the anti-aliasing that is taking place... that makes the model blend into the scene in a more natural way by "blurring" the edges slightly. That is what all 3D programs do... I say, don't worry about it and proceed like nothing is happening, and do a final render on it. You'll never notice it.

I think I figured it out on my own... may have to post a quick tut on it as soon as I'm finished with my latest piece!
Thread: June Challenge - My 3rd Entry | Forum: Vue
By the way... absolutely no post work was done to this image... everything seen was done in Vue! (Kinda proud of that myself!)

Very nice Guitta... good job... a couple of little things... aren't the clothes pins a bit big and the texture on the wooden cart looks a bit off... but I love the work! Wish I could figure out Poser a bit more to be able to to the clothing on the people better!
Thread: May challenge is closed - Voting begins. | Forum: Vue
Well... I better cast my vote... not wanting to vote for my own, it was a very tough choice. Everyone did such a wonderful job. Audity had wonderful effects, and the grey scale B/W work from Koncz was excellent, but for originality, I'd have to cast my vote for Doro. Something completely original and stylistic. Comepletely unexpected. Good work Doro!
Thread: I'm looking for a volunteer host for a free model | Forum: Vue
As far as I've seen, you have to have your free stuff posted outside of Renderosity because they were getting too much traffic.... at least that's what I've had to do with my stuff.
Thread: I'm looking for a volunteer host for a free model | Forum: Vue
If you would really like to have a server host your object, you can host it on my server. I've been serving up alot of stuff off my server and you can have the space for as long as you want it for free. Just email me at LrdSatyr8@hotmail.com and we'll get things all setup for you.
