Thread: Renderosity exclusive product for 1.99$ at DAZ Platinum Club? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
The only reason I really think any of us should feel foolish about having bought something full price here or DAZ or any other site would be if there had been enough forethought on both parties (creator & site) to know that such a future price cut was going to be available. Did Dark Whisper/3D Universe forsee their stuff being integrated into DAZ at much reduced prices? Did the hankster?? I doubt it. If we paid $24 (or whatever price) for something, then we felt the item was very well worth the price. It's not fair to yourself 1/2/3/4 months down the road to kick yourself in the head or feel foolish for having spent money on something you wanted and afforded at that time. Nor is it fair to expect a company, after it's bought the rights to an item, to price it comparably. They could have made it a much more expensive item if they had a mind to! Heck, we all may as well never buy anything for fear of it being cheaper in the future. ;)
As far as the PC goes - a lot of the free stuff they gave away for a renewal, I already had. So did many other people. I'm not gonna worry about it. Not to mention a lot of the products that have become PC items. What I've saved for what I spent to be a PC member and PC member purchases far outweighs any possible dissappointment I would have over what I 'could have' saved if I had precognition.

I scrolled down quick, so I wouldn't see what other ppl have put. What a lil cutie - such a cute eye :) Hmmm... Eye-gor? Ooneye or Uneye(1 eye wink) That makes me wonder ..... How do you know if it's winking at you or just blinking?? ;)

Not meaning to squash your toes, Bigt - just didn't want you to take up a yoke that was already being borne. I think all tutorials have worth for everyone - I wonder, myself, if there is/are any inherent differences in posing creatures as opposed to humans??

This is the one I'm referring to. :) Schlabber's a gem for doing this.Thread: Renderosity exclusive product for 1.99$ at DAZ Platinum Club? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
The main gripe should be that DAZ ought to add a note to a product, that has been available previously at their site or elsewhere, so that customers will know not to buy something they've already paid for.
This is equivalent to Walmart putting tags on everything that's available at say....Sears or elsewhere "Beware! You may have already purchased this at Sears for a higher price!!" DAZ should not have to be responsible for our inability to keep track of what we buy at other places. That's why we have accounts to track our purchase histories. ;) "Formerly sold at Renderosity" "Formerly sold at Runtime DNA" "Formerly sold at PoserPros" "Formerly at Poserstyle" "Formerly at Poserworld" "Formerly sold at Philc.net" "Formerly sold at 3D Commune" "Formerly sold at 3D Arena" "Formerly sold at Rendervisions" "Formerly at Baument" "Formerly at Fairywilde" "Formerly sold at Renderotica" "Formerly sold at Sixus Media" etc, etc, etc, etc It would get ridiculous after a while. It's also tatamount to free advertising for other sites - why would DAZ do that??

Looks like you did what I did, Mason - read the entire thread then responded whilst other people had already done so before us. ;) Steffy uses live models herself and takes the photos herself - no open market skin textures use by her. :)

Bad, very bad and damning evidence. I agree on the costs of Steffy's texture creation except the cost of the photo equipment - surely she doesn't buy a $3500 arsenal of equipment for each model? ;)
waits for further unfolding of this saga.....
Thread: Coffee Talk - Promoting of images and chars in this forum. | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
There's specifically a Poser Technical Forum and a Poser Python Scripting forum and then also this Poser forum. They all seem to be pretty well utilized. There's a lot of room given for 'cross-over' subject matter, as you've seen. There is no W.I.P forum and sadly, the wip gallery is not very well frequented for what it was made for. So, ppl will post an image in the forum for help & suggestions. Same if they've got something in development - they come here for feedback they can't get from a gallery. If they're posting it just to show off a finished image, that's not so good ;) There are the galleries for that. Announcements about off-site free items are nice to see - there's so many other Poser content sites, it's hard to keep 'em straight. Poser has a constant influx of new people - so the newbie questions are always going to be there. Kind of a good feeling when us former newbies are able to answer questions. ;) And it turns into a learning process for more than just the person asking the question too - barring any highbrowed denouncements of daring to ask anything at all. ;) I think there's plenty of Poser stuff to talk about outside of the technical aspects of it. :)

Thread: Uploading pictures rule... | Forum: Community Center
I had more than one image I wanted to show some people. Nothing fancy and nothing that is going to stay in my gallery. I don't have the need or want to post 3 images every day, so I figured out a work-around for my situation.
I uploaded the first image into the Work In Progress gallery. After it had been viewed, I then went back in - edited it by replacing the image with the other and tah-dah! I was able (in essense) to have two images uploaded within a day for viewing. ;)
