I'm working on Reality 4.1 now, which is up to 10 times faster in rendering than 4.0, and this is the perfect time to solve other issues. I have solved most of the crashes but it's always worth looking at other possible scenarios.

I guess that you get what you pay for. Reality had, since day one, a full manual that, in the last version, is at around 120 pages, complete of linked video tutorials and with a hyperlinked Table Of Content and index.

Heheh. Probably true, Paolo. I haven't seen you do an ocean - can you set up the Poser ground plane like this, not just "plain" plane water, in Lux?

Hi William.
Not to make a shameless plug about my product, but Reality 4 does make Poser behave like photography. Lights work exactly like real lights; there is a mesh light with Gobo and Snoot, that work exactly as you expect: the larger the light, the softer it is. Lights also have color temperature, exactly like in photography, so, if you mix a light at 3200K with one at 6500K and white balance for the latter you will get an orange hue for the first light. And so on.

The front, or "outside" of an object is pointed by the direction of the surface normals. So, normals pointing out describe faces that are facing outside.

I just tried it with os.system("/Applications/Utilities/Terminal.app/Contents/MacOS/Terminal") and it launched Terminal as expected.
What is the exact command that you tried?

I don't know this expander software that you mention. The Finder can expand a zipfile without anything more. Just double-click on the zipfile.
