Subject: Tutorial: Kill the render noise form your Lux scenes

Pret-a-3D ( ) posted Wed, 09 May 2012 at 3:07 PM · edited Wed, 27 November 2024 at 11:28 AM

Hello.

I just released a tutorial on how to eliminate noise from your Lux scene. Since this is a problem that I see sometimes reported by Reality users, I'm posting it here in the hope to reach the people who have experienced this issue:

Cheers.

Nice! Thanks for that, actually not just for lux lighting either, good thought process for lighting.

Thanks Paolo. That was really helpful. Is there a way to know how the lights add up to the overall correct exposure without waiting for a render?

No, there is not. This is exactly how it works with a fully professional SLR camera set to manual. You can use the Autolinear tone mapper but for best results the Linear tonemapper is better. There is a lesson oj how to find the correct exposure in my Make Your Own Reality  course. You can find it at http://preta3d.com/make-your-own-reality/

I will purchase your tutorial after school is out. Then I will have some time to really dig into the techniques.

Hey, I went to the tutorial, grabbed the URL, and converted it to a PDF here... http://pdfmyurl.com/
