well the reason is because I run games and I have another person that uses this computer. I know that CG software runs better under Windows NT, and if I could I would just switch over to in entirely, but then my roommate would have no clue what she is doing. Can I install Windows NT on my second HD and still have it detect Windows 98?

your other option would be to send the unrendered product to someone, and then have them render it for you and send it back to you. I've done that for friends before and for people I just met over the net before. I let it render overnight or longer if needed. My system is: Aptiva AMD K6 500Mhz with 3D NOW! 128M RAM 10G primary HDD 6G seconday HDD Windows 98 (looking for windows NT) HP CD Writer Soundblaster X-Gamer Live! (not needed for rendering but has kickass sound) Let me know if I can help.

BTW, if anyone is interested in the model, just let me know, I can provide it for you, or I can UL it to this site if they have that ability.

Toad, the reason there is no smpoke or anything is because its only a picture to show the model, its not a detailed picture. The reason the texture does not corrospond to the red sensor is because its a camo paint job, and they should be fairly random, not symetrical or and particular design. Also, there would be no exaust because the robot uses a micro-fusion engine. And the green "laser" thingy is actually an active broadband communications scanner and reciever. there is more detail laid out at this posting in the gallery. http://www.renderosity.com/viewed.ez?galleryid=15799&Start=25&Sectionid=2&WhatsNew=Yes Hawkfyr, if he can't or won't provide the tutorial for you, can u cant get the magazine just let me know, I'll provide it for you.

its issue number one, the magazine just started this month. I've already sent in a thing to order 6 issues with CDs. Plus they have some great contests.

Rlech - It is the inspiration for the model, I was having Graphic Artists block and that col little model was great inspiration. But I do say I went quite a few steps further and I have always believed that other models are some of the best inspiration. And its always fun to modify them or make them so different but still have some of the same lines as the old model.
Thread: here's an obvious question | Forum: Bryce
First of all did u do the Bryce patch that brings Bryce 4 up to 4.0.1. if not go here: http://www.corel.com/support/ftpsite/pub/Bryce/4/index.htm And secondly unfortunately B4 does not import pz3 files. what you may have to do is convert it to another type of file. If this is a 3D object bryce accepts: 3Ds, Prj, t3d, 3mf, b3d, dxf, lwo, lws, pgm, hf, cob, scn, ddf, dem, vsa, wrl, obj, elev file extensions. If this is a picture type bryce accepts: SGI, IFF, RCE, BMP, DIB, EMF, FLM, FPX, GIF, JPG, MAC, PCT, PCX, PSD, PIC, PXR, PNG, PNT, EPS, ICB, TGA, VDA, VST, TIF Now if this is an object try to see if the program it came from can export it in a different type. If its a picture se if Photoshop or the program you are using can export it in a different format. I hope this ws useful is some way. Let me know if I can be of service any further.

Thread: Need help on realistic waves... | Forum: Bryce
what I meant was layering several layers of water textures then rendering them together. the top layers should have the transparancy worked with, so that the bottom layers can show through. Its not as hard as you think, but it can be quite the effect
Thread: Need help on realistic waves... | Forum: Bryce
The way I have seen waves done in the past is to create multiple layers, using the transparancy setting to allow the top layers to be visible. each layer would have its seperate texture to get the dark effect of a stormy sea. Remember that stormy rough seas are darker, and less reflective. But what you have so far is a great beginning, remember its not always about the realism, its also your perception.
