Exactly what I'm looking for BB. I hope it works in Poser 7. I'll try it when I get home tonight.
My only concern is that I have to overlay this onto the actual shot of the table. I'm hoping the slight 2% opacity of the surface won't show up as a slightly darker square or I'll have to rethink this.

Searched on-line. Is making a reflective one-sided square and placing it on the ground plane the way to go? Is there a way to control the strength of the reflection? It should be about 50% the density of the figure.

Bear with me - I'm a video director/editor still learning my way around Poser. (Poser 7)
If you could, explain how to apply a reflective mode to my figure. The figure can't have any ground shadows visible so I've been turning the ground plane off when I digitize.
Sorry for the newbie questions.

Wolf,
Looks like this is the ticket! As soon as I get back from vacation I'll give it a shot. Thanks for the info.

I guess I worded my post incorrectly. No problem with the feet contacting the ground, it's the "sliding foot" routine I'm talking about. The walk cycles are made up of a few key poses and a little tweaking so I agree -
One frame at a time is NOT the way to animate or edit an animation Please dont listen to uninformed/ inexperienced people who WRONGLY say it is.
But once I have the cycle done, the feet skate across the floor rather than staying in one position during the half stride. It's repositioning that foot to stay in the same spot that takes all the time. Obviously, when you walk, your "plant foot" doesn't move during the half stride. I'm trying to avoid the look that the figure is ice skating across the floor.
Once I have the plant done for both feet in the full stride, I wish there was a way to move all the positions up to the next stride - if that makes any sense.

Okay, I seem to have figured most of it out. I just wish there was more documentation on this module.
thanks for the help.

Thanks, but is there a brief set of instructions or a quick tutorial to get someone started?

* Exporting the arm and hand (by selecting the subset) and using one of the prop endcaps might be better.*
I'm not familiar with this process (or many others) - how would I go about doing this?

We made this awhile ago and were happy with the images we got.

Thread: Sidegrade Problems | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Oh man, have I done it again? Gone and bought an upgrade just before the new and improved version comes out? So Poser 9 or Poser Pro 2011 is going to turn my newly purchased Poser Pro 2010 into a boat anchor?
Thread: Installing Poser Pro 2010 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Thanks BB.
I'm currently waiting for my PP2010 to arrive and I jumped the gun on this post. Reading the manual is certainly the way to go. From what you say, however, it doesn't look like I'll have a problem with the installation.
Thanks for the help.

Thanks BB.
In keeping with my computer idiocy, you say:
Once I'm in the PP 2010 library, how do I do this? Do I add the entire Poser 7 folder or just the Poser 7 Runtime? And what is the correct procedure for adding the folder, dragging, copy and paste?
Needless to say, I'm feeling really stupid at this point.
Thread: Is there an idiots guide to transparancies | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
This has been a feature of AfterEffects for as long as I can remember. Years ago it was only JPEG sequences, but CS4 - CS5 imports PNG sequences which support transparent backgrounds and offer readymade Alpha channels.
I just finished an animated sequence of a robot walking that had massive motion blur and the composite in AfterEffects worked perfectly. I just laid in the clip over the background footage, no need to key or mess with anything. The transparency of the motion blurs came through beautifully.
