Well, the reson I recommended resizing the main render window was so that you could get an accurate preview of the final output. I normally have my main render window set at 1024x1024 and then I'll kick off a render in a new window at, let's say, 800x600, well what typically happens to me is that the top/bottom of the image usually gets cropped simply because the final output doesn't match the main render window. The 638x826 I recommended for the main render window is a quarter of the final output. Again, this is something that I do just to help me out with the composition.

Thanks Guitta! I appreciate the input. After I read your post, I started looking around a little more and noticed the huge FAQ link at the top of the page grin I guess I should have looked there first:) What a wealth of information! Thanks again:) ~ brent ~

I would try a width of 2550px by 3300px at 300dpi and see if that does the trick. Hopefully this helps. I'll also post this in the print forum. ~ brent ~

D'oh! Westley. Nance, that is exactly the pose trying for in your last post. Something you said about the additional joint in the palm was something I hadn't thought about before. After I read your post I picked up my sword and studied my hand a little more (ok a lot more:)) and I saw exactly what you meant. I was trying to accomplish this by going over board on the side-side of the wrist and that's where I was running into the problem. I'll have to check out that web site to get a couple more ideas on some hand poses. Up until now, I hadn't realized how difficult posing the hand could be:) Thanks again for the wonderful input! I'm off to break some wrists again:) ~ brent ~

Awesome, I didn't even think about doing it that way. I was trying to mimic something a little more drastic with the wrist, which by the way, with Limits on you can do anyway:) I think I'll have to use the bell-hilt as you suggested. There are always solutions out there, isn't there:) Thanks for getting me pointed in the right direction. ~ brent ~

Here's a tutorial for the Mobius effect. It's at DAZ's Poser Arcana. Hope this helps. ~ brent ~Thread: Reviews for "Environment Creator Deluxe Version 2" | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I really like ECII. It truly does make controlling and setting up lights a WHOLE HECK of a lot easier. The documentation is "per room." Each one of the modules has something to explain the way it works. It's come in pretty handy, but I'm more of the kind to RTFM when I can't figure something out. Also, PCBos has a quick tutorial available on his web site - that was useful too. The interface is a little awkward IMHO, but once you get used to it, it works very nice. I wouldnt say the learning curb was too steep. I havent used it for any close up renders, so I really wont be able to answer your question on shadows. Sorry. Anyway, I really do like this product. I dont know how I did it before Hope this helps. ~ brent ~
Thread: versatile, curly hair? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Ive had P5 just decide to quit rendering because of dynamic hair and yes it does make rendering slower (when it renders - especially shadow maps) but the quality is not bad with the right materials and lighting. Wow! Thanks Zenman and Ernyoka on the information on Spiral Curls. I think Im going to have to go out and get them too!

What version of Poser are you using? Runtime DNA has some really good looking Dynamic hair for Poser 5 called RDNA Real Hair, I use that quite a bit. And it comes in the short medium and long flavors with some really great materials.

Thread: Conforming Clothing in Poser 5 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Okay... when you add your conforming clothing, you need to make sure not to double click on it. This replaces your existing figure with the new one, in this case, your clothing. At the bottom of your libraries pallet, you should see a double check mark (second icon) this adds the new figure to the current scene without replacing the PF Hi Res Nude. I hope this helps. ~ brent ~
