Well, I did work in retail in a rather large way. I managed a very large chain of stores from the States which were expanded into Canada. I was the Western Canada manager and as the chain was devoted entirely to direct sales on the floor to walk in customers PR and customer relations were very important to the success of the business. To call a customer a whiner because they are frustrated with your service whether it is your fault or not is definitely not a good idea. No matter how many people here may take the side of Steve and Rena they will lose a certain amount of business because of the responses given in this thread to both Marque and Ron. They have been accused of being trouble makers and out to create problems for Steve and Renas business etc. when to any person who would come in here ignorant of the site and what they offer ( and yes, I mean myself as I do not belong to their site and in fact have never been to it as of yet) when reading their posts would think they have a good reason to complain. Reading the responses to their posts from a lot of you I get the feeling (again because I don't know the site and I don't know most of you here other than through reading a few of your posts in various forums) that there is a certain amount of animosity on the behalf of some who are defending Rena and Steve towards Marque and Ron. This is not meant to either defend or persecute anyone here but to point out how things appear to a person reading these posts who has never been involved before the other day in anything in this particular forum (Poser) and the impression that person gets from reading all the posts above. Remember, one unhappy customer will cost a business more revenue than 50 happy customers. The reason being that people will definitely spend more time and effort to let others know their displeasure with a service or company than the 50 happy ones will to let people know of their satisfaction with the same company.

there seem to be more than a few of Ryan Bliss's work posted there also with no mention of him at all. He wouldn't be happy I would think since he makes his living off his stuff.

Sorry about that. I apologise to any who are having a problem with this as I am in the midst of moving the site due to a very unprofessional attitude that I seem to be getting from my current service. Seems they aren't quite as "unlimited bandwidth" concious as they claim and are trying to force me to either pay more than my contract or run me off. I don't need a whole lot of hints so I am moving to a server that my partner and I have which really does give us unlimited bandwidth which is proven by the amount of traffic we get on the sites we have there now. Again sorry and will be back to normal in the next day or so.

Hey Rad; Was there a rumour and I missed it?/ Gotta start coming here more often as I seem to miis all thereal good stuff and am always a day late and a dollar short. (No wise A** remarks on that from anyone now you hear??)

I am curious as to who a lot of the people who are posting the remarks and put downs are coming from. Having been a member for a while here when it was the PFO and then Renderosity about 90% of the ones ranting and raving in the forums and other places in the site are really unfamiliar to me. Who are you people?? And do you have a life outside of your computers ?? I make my living on my computer with my 3D and other digital mediums and so have a certain (God forbid) economic reason for belonging to and using as many 3D sites as I can. And not one of them has a perfect setup when it comes to the financial and ownership setups that please everyone. I am not pleased about what has happened but the snide remarks and outright vitriolic tirades of some in the forums and elsewhere does nothing but show an immature attitude on the part of a very few people who can't accept that what is done is done and to either move on or let it go and see what happens in the future. So why not give it a rest as it does nothing but show a propensity to cause upheaval and trouble for a lot of people who really don't want to hear it. I reiterate that I like and respect Jack and Ed and some of the people who are leaving and going with them but I also like some of the people who are staying here. I don't particularly care for some of the people who are staying here just as I don't care for some who are going with Jack and Ed and leaving here. I plan to go with them but I also plan to stay here. There is nothing wrong with that and it doesn't mean I am supporting Renderosity under Edgenet any more than I am suppoting Jack and Ed in the new place I hope they set up. What it means is that I want to gain and get all the help and advice in my work as I can from the people who I admire and respect in both places. That is my right and my perogative as a person who has free choice. So if anyone wishes to leave they are free to do so. If any wish to stay they are also free to do so. What is not appreciated by a vast number of us is the attitude from both sides that the other side is wrong and a bunch of jerks. I don't hack on any who leave and I don't hack on any who stay (and I could as I can tell you that from what I have read I am much better at it that most here when it comes to flaming). It is each persons right to do as they feel they must. That is why it should be let go now and we should all get on with what to me is more important in the long run and that is having the camaradrie we once enjoyed and the friendships we have made in this forum and ones that I hope to join with in the future with those who will go on to Jack and Eds forum. I know for a fact that none of the principals( Jack, Ed or Tim ) wish to see the whole community torn apart and both sides in this dispute have stated so in no uncertain terms. So let it go and see where it all falls out and hopefully we will all benefit from it. We all have the right to out opinions. We also have the right not to have others try to push their opinions down our throats. Smart ass remarks lead to one thing only. A reflection of the person who makes them.

I am afraid that in my case you are mistaken. willow and i had some disagreements in private over the feasability osf my leaving my pictures up on renderosity and still joining the new PFO. She was having a hard time dealing with the situation which was understandable at the time and I didn't appreciate the answer she gave me or the manner in which it was stated. I let her know that others can also be pretty good at nasty emails and that was where it was left for a time. Later when tempers had cooled and the dust had settled I decided to re-join the PFO. At that time I received an email from Willow letting me know that I was not welcome at the PFO and so I decided to forget about it. So not everyone is included in the statements you are pointing out Martin and let me assure you that afterwards I found a few others who are also not welcome at the PFO for one reason or other that has nothing to do with the split last year but for reasons other than that which are between Willow and those of us involved. I like the majority of the people in this and any other forum on 3D art and programs. those I don't like I ignore. I have read your posts over time Martin and I have to say you are one of the good guys and care for the community of people that have grown around what was considered a couple of minor beginners 3D programs. That is why I say have a good one and be well. It will all work itself out in the end and hopefully not too much damage will be done to the community as a whole.

I apologise as you are right FastTraxx. It is the characters I am referring to and I am sorry for not making that clearer. The characters that require specific poser 4 files to be able to use them are the ones I am referring to.
