I'd like to package it but I do not know yet how.
How do cloth merchants do that with the bones and spheres, is there any template of DAZ that may be redistributed? As cloth must follow the rig of the original figure I assume it uses the same rig (with slight adjustions).
I want to try to make sort of a "dummy" cloth without geometry that stores the multi bone setup for the entire figure (reusing the original rig for the unmodified parts). Then one could use Figure->CopyJointParams to take over the new rig to an existing V4, which just needs the additional bones, but I think that is manageable somehow, either with Python or some other hack.
What is the way cloth merchants do to take over the DAZ bones into their figures without copyright violation?

the one closer to the camera is the improved neck. morphs don't get destroyed, the core geometry needs no modification in the newer posers

just ignore the people stealing the script, why even bother. if its really useful and people like it I think many enough will happily purchase rather than risking to have their systems infected by virus from warez site

Is there an EZLight tool too to get the best out of the EZSkin/EZMats? Or if not a tool, are there some reference light settings everybody is using? Studio, interior, outside

darkedge, the program would repair the morphs. for FBM's its no problem.
JCM is a special case, quality may vary. this is due to anomaly of morph target behaviour at group borders.
UV wise, I'm not sure if you need new maps if you do not change the mat zones. I guess you would model an UV layout for the new geometry thats compatible with the old textures.
Thread: Question to .cr2 hackers | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
In my actual "problem case" I was using only weightmaps, not zones.
Don't the connected actors have to rotate around the same reference point? Otherwise the bend transformation cannot be steady?
If the "center" in the twistX is not referring to the joint center - how can weightmapped actors rotate around different centers, how can that be possible :(
I had the connected actors entirely weightmapped to 1.0, and the bend ripped them apart. I observed one was rotating around the morphed joint center, the other was rotating around the unmorphed joint center.
Thread: Tool to merge multiple textures into single texture | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I'll think about it :) I'm so short on time currently ;(
But thanks for the offer.
Btw, for python there is PIL, and merging different images into one can be done with less than 10 lines of code, thats excellent.

I made a python script to merge the different texture maps into one and offset the UVs in the .obj of the different matzones accordingly. Didn't have time to verify if it works in Poser yet, however ;)
I hope the single-map-mode makes life easier when modifying the figure in external applications like zbrush. If successful I'll post the script

Trying to make a cap out of this fine denim ;) I still heavily suck at modelling but its getting better slowly slowly. Also, what might the best render settings be? I found that Poser render results seem to blur at unexpected places, and there seem to be rectangular artefacts. Maybe that is because of the detail level of this texture? Modelling wise, I wonder what is your technique to guide stitches along the mesh, without stretch, like the 4 towards the top center and around the bottom of my cap? Its made with displacement. I do not find my result too bad but it took long to do; but my workflow is a bit odd; I have made a script for blender to straighten UVs for a faceloop without stretching them. Then I use these specialized UVs to clone a texture onto the "productive" UV map which might have a completely different layout. It takes many clicks for an operation that "feels" it should rather be "atomic". :(

Thread: M4 with K4 Mapping? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Hi, you can do that with a text editor.
Make a copy of K4 .obj and replace the vertex positions with the vertex positions of M4 .obj
these lines begin with a
v
e.g. v 0.1 0 0.2
then make a copy of m4.cr2 and link it with the new .obj you just created.
or use k4mix.cr2 and link a copy to the new .cr2, so you do not have to do the initialization again.
Thread: OctaneRender for Poser | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
just found this thread. does poser2octane work with EZSkin? Or is there an EZSkin edition to make nice octane shaders?
