Thread: Any free automobile hearses out there? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
there was a very low res one given away as a freebie on a 3d world magazine cd (part of a bundle of geometricks freebies?) for a usable model I think your best bet would be the 2 estate cars here -lwo format about 1mb each so usable resolution - though you would have to assign black materials -and delete the blinker units on the roof http://dmi.chez.tiscali.fr/modelsrescue2.html Renault 21 gendarmerie or bmw estate cars

Thread: Regarding the Renda Figure from RPublishing | Forum: Community Center
I ve no axe to grind - mainly because I read some forum posts on Renda before leaping to buy Even as a spectator though the main thing that comes through to me is how different the standards in quality checking and control have been for this internal Rosity product and what is generally expected by Rosity of any external provider If that doesnt leave a sour taste is the mouth of every vendor jumping hoops at Rosity's behest to get products placed here I dont know what will ; )

Thread: Looking for T-Rex Model | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Hi Xantor Im not talking skin texture as such - the jurassic park version of T rex simply took on board later thinking on skeletal articulation and posture the earlier 30's style for t rex may look fun but tends to bend the tail and spine to raise the head as much as they could away from the floor (Guess for the king of beasts they wanted it to stand really tall) it is very dubious as to whether the skeleton and musculature of a living t rex could contort this far - more to the point footprint evidence might even be pointing the other way now - if there is any posture evidence at all it is towards them having a stalking posture where they lower their height as much as practicable when hunting

re the 10 dollar site - did it lead to another selling 3ds format (but generally wider ranging prices)? I think the 2 sites are run by the same organisation re previous buys the only problem I had was on one order the link to a max file they emailed me was a dead-end. after an email they sent a 3ds format replacement. I ve probably ordered 10 plus items there with no problems so far. Because you have to wait to be emailed the link the wait can be a bit of a drag. I certainly wouldnt order from there if I had to complete in a hurry - you need to be able to check your mail on a regular basis (the link is only valid a day I think and you'd probably have to email them if you ever need the file again) re the trex model if you go for a 30's retro look I suppose it does make a good candidate for the daz rubber joint treatment - plasticine heritage showing I guess! I tend to prefer lean, mean & relatively accurate : )

Id go for C4d, especially now Interposer is wonderful. It has made loading a pz3/obj into another 3d app about as painless as anyone has a right to expect.

ok so on the 4 th millenium attempt Daz is beginning to get the joints better - is it too much to hope that the other versions might get a service pack update to bring them in line?
Thread: Anyone Rendered Poser Scenes in Cinema 4D v6 CE ? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
but you may have the same problem I did when importing millenium figures the eyelash and upper eyebrow mesh points appear sometimes to get welded onto the rest of the face so you also get the head texture mapped on them - ok you can not weld on export but the smoothness of the mesh takes a hit - solution I found was to copy head object then without moving the copy delete all points except eyelashes and all maps except eyelash transmap then on the original head I delete the mesh points for the original eyelashes and usually the upper eyebrows as well
