Good God, man, that's freakin' HILARIOUS! Oh shit, I almost wet myself reading all that. Of course, the idea works, but damn that's some incredible way of explaining it!

"There is no reason to call someone's product description horse shit. " Sure there is. If his GND relies on DAZ' V3 character, shouldn't he show a tad more gratitude, as opposed to being outright insulting towards it? I mean, no V3, no GMD. Right? I'm sure there are many people who will gladly stick up for him in this argument, but it seems undeniable the guy is biting the hand which feeds him by making such a statement. Is that OK? "How would you describe the default V3 body?" It's pretty damn good, really. Can you model something of that quality yourself? And make it usable in Poser while you're at it? If so, then never mind this. Anybody else who has a problem with me having a problem with people insulting DAZ' creations, all I can say is, talk to the hand.

Seems there are certain laws regarding such things. Ridiculous, when used in CG renders, but nevertheless...
Thread: "Open Source" Textures for V3 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
A few days? Really? Hell, I could get run over by a truck tomorrow in front of my house and never even know if anyone downloaded it and used it. ;) Why such a wait? Didn't used to be that way. shrug Thanks for the info though.

Well, I tend to use Lightwave, even for Poser characters, and, IMO, texturing is the way to go. O course, photos are not always readily-available, and there is a great need to do some editing anyway, like for bump, specularity, and Trans channels. Might as well paint the skin textures too, while I'm at it, I figure. I know photo textures are "in", but a good deal of CG characters are in fact "hand-painted".

From the GND page: "...and is a refreshing change from the shapeless default V3 body." Excuse me, but that's a load of horse shit (either that or a not-so-cleverly-disguised marketing ploy). I'm sure GND is just fine, but I'd hardly call DAZ' efforts "shapeless". talent notwithstanding.... Arrogance remains alive and well, I see.

That I knew, but thanks anyway. :) But I was lookingfor all the info I could find in the Deep Paint 3D Forum, and since I don't know when it began, I wasted alot of time searching month-to-month. Not just that, but many, many forums...often, there is knowledge to be found elsewhere, mneaning, for example, the terms "specularity" and "UV" apply to many different softwares. It would be great to be able to enter a forum, hit the Archive button, and be able to do a search based on such subject matter. I bet the search in the Marketplace doesn't have near the limitations.... ;)

I've got some props I already made...for Poser 4 *see link* .....Thread: SessSQL: Max sessions exceeded for this IP address | Forum: Community Center
Oh, OK. Password security. I though maybe you meant that too many browser errors might cause it. Or gremlins in the network. I was worried that one morning I might wake up at 2:45 a.m. and need to post something and have to wait for someone to fix me. ;) Thank you for the explanation. :)

This is probably asking alot, but what do you mean by "IP has had too many errors"? I'm not being a smartass or anything like that - I'm just curious.

I would differ, about "un"triangulating. These look to me like non-planar polygons causing render errors, the best treatment for that being tripling them. Since by it's nature a triangle can't "fold" without adding vertices and becoming a polygon, a trinagle is far less likely to create these types of render errors.

"Pre-order LW 9.5 and get Vue 5 for free "
Correction, it's VUE 5 INFINITE, different from plain Vue 5.
Anyway, my vote goes to Lightwave. I've tried the demos of all the biggies, and still nothing has come close to making me want to leave LW.
It's not particularly hard to learn, and there's a gazillion gigabytes of tutorials available for it, not to mention many good, inexpensive books.
And it's already got one of the best render engines on the planet, but according to Newtek, LW 9 will be quicker.
