we all have ideas of what 3d is ............just seen a vid of a "drawing" looked like a metal M bent round a pipe ..........few pencils paper and an eraser an damp finger [golly gosh that was cheaper then 3ds max etc ] ok he cant show wires or 3d stuffs cos there wasn't any

but a render of a lamp or a sofa is pretty boring .........adding a poser doll can make it REAL....... would (for any modeling thing ) like to see wires too could you add a line says 2 renders ........one fully textured and one with all the posters modeling in wires ??

a nice animation of a heart .......yes fluids and physics and what happens when a Taser whacks it ..........even junior doctors would buy the dvd that's the retirement sorted

MH rigs work in blender [will need rigging for poser/ds, try autogroup{poser} be prepared to fall off chair laughing] but is better rigs MORE WORK, just saying MH to blender ....nightly builds give a 95% or better chance of it working [both update so much it can be annoying to get them to sync just keep trying]

maybe give us more clues as to what you want to do ?? special tools do special things rather well.........universal tools do EVERYTHING if you can stand on one hand while .......... lol ;-) [honest I lurve blender ........not just cos its free..........but if you find something it cant do you can write a python script to twist its arm ]

sorta not really........email says its there but I cant get it (no errors no nothing) have started on the "softer" one and found the poser baby{thanks for map} (lots less polys 'oray) thought I had that one but couldn't find it .. ..was searching for baby not infant DOH should have it done by Monday (my time)........but dragged off to fix a thing and ended up all night fishing ......... forgot how flipping cold it gets on that beach ;-)

shift+F puts u in fly around mode (like you get in games )

grid fill is the best way to do what your after but I like to extrude/scale in once or twice.......gives better control over edges

first shorts to learn....... in edit mode ctrl+V ertex +F aces +E dges..........that will bring up menus for you to pick from and W brings up a menu too lots of good stuff and most importantly U for unwrapping

for the short cut ........in edit mode all selected hit ctrl+n.........re calculate normals (hit F6 for options or look near bottom of T panel for them ) you also might like to look at pie menus ........some people like them

oh Lux that's a bit harsh ............no interface ;-) first thing I do when modeling is shift+space then T and/or N if I need to .........guess we do it dif rofl

I "might" still have it kicking around .........checked my drives(had a clean up recently went too ssd's)....but might be in the box of dvds (used to a packrat lol ) want me to look ?

well its mainly bug fixes and speed boosts.......anno you dont notice a speed boost (cant say I do) guess that depends on what your doing maybe for the gamers or the animators .....a millisec or there !! or for the peeps who do huge forests?

for me an u doing stuff for poser(woteva) it wont crash as often.............although for me at least when it crashes it was MY fault ;-)

ps cant help with hair .........best I ever got in hair room is a BAD short circuit (static is a pain )

opps sorry Mike ......I add and remove folders (runtimes) quite often ......but hardly ever even look in poser content.......you don't even get the icon on THAT folder ;-)

not forgot you ;-) blocked out some carriers ....found out the only thing I know about "red Indians" has come from b grade movies [forgive] heck I'm not even sure they did basketwork (sorta sure they did but don't KNOW ) so any pics ideas would be great looked up the cradleboard.............once I found out what it was called lol sooooooo many variations (guess some is dif tribes ? )..........I sorted "winged" it !.. as a new age daddy I went for the one that looked like protection for the baby IF "she" tripped up rofl............but I can do that softer one you shown as well as a fancy one is the mill baby ok for you its the only one I got ..........and built other thing round v4.........can use a dif doll but I stopped buying (and poser) after v4 so at the mo' I haven't even got most of the free stuff from the last 4 or so years (I got blendered) pm sent lol.........ignore funny colours they just while I'm modeling

agree wholeheartedly ...........can understand where there tryna push the "catfights" to the next page but this is the blender forum ............even the kids are grown up

didn't think I could show YOU anything hun ;-).......tedious...........guess I'm more OCD then you rofl. I've looked at all the "ubershaders" ( no names but ) most are way to complicated for anyone but the creator to understand ;-( I'd say 90% of what I do can be done in less then a dozen nodes ...........BUT I don't do ultra realistic that's makes it a lot easier
