Oh the dreaded c-exception. Indeed. It was one of those that started me off. Reared it's ugly head about 90% through a very, very, very, long render. You know, one of those renders that makes you wonder if your hard drive is just spinning around aimlessly in defeat. Lol. You're doing an animation!? I salute your patience! All the best with that. Mike
Thread: Seriously, Poser 5 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Yeah, you're right. I guess if it's not working, it's not working. Simple as that. Just have to wait for the next patch and stick to scenes that don't tempt it. It was fine until I got 'creative' with the new stuff. Thanks for the wisdom! Mike
Thread: Judy face in P5 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
The initial face in the face room is not the selected figure from the pose room. You have to click 'import figure head texture' and then apply the morphs to the head when you're done.

I tried the same thing to Poser 4 quite recently. The offer to upgrade expires after a month and is not valid. Mike
Thread: File restrictions on Free Stuff downloads | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
"I think these kinds of restrictions in readme files are all wishful thinking on the creators' part. It's fantasy. Sometimes I think that people just aren't living in the real world." True. Sad isn't it? What is the arguement about? Someone has created an item and wishes others do not use it in ways he/she wouldn't like. Couldn't everyone just quietly respect that and get on with it? Having been a photographer I can tell you, you wouldn't believe the ways creative copyrighted material can be restricted. Mike

Here's a link to a page with plans and pics of a 133 footer Anthony. It's a hydrofoil as well, so you can see the fuul hull in a few shots. Mike
Thread: Illegal practices that BLOW OFF MY TOP! :( | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
There was a site by a German bloke with awesome sub aqua freebies on it including a whale. He had removed the whale as he had found it for sale on another site! Recently his sight has completely disappeared and I'm assuming he had a repeat experience. I'm very impressed with this community and the sharing of resources and techniques but there will always be individuals who will spoil peoples generosity. Mitch 3D was a wonderful resource of specialised items which he selflessly shared with others. It's a very significant loss indeed, though I can understand how he feels. This is also a very large community and instead of being put off contributing, we should all look out for each other and black-list, as far as is practiceable, offenders. Claiming copyright of someone elses work is serious enough, but selling it? I am deducting that the original perpetrator in question thought that not many would scour German or, say, Japanese sights and they'd not be caught out and if they were, then the owner would not be in a position to involve the police. Personally I think a quick overseas trip and the liberal, high speed application of a baseball bat would be the most satisfying solution. I'm rambling a bit, but there you go. I guess what I'm trying to say is that it IS going to happen. Regularily. The idea is to deal with it effectively and not let it spoil things for everyone. Thanks Mike
