I forgot to mention that there are 4 individual braids on each side, not just one big braid on each side and some behind the head as well.

Thread: how do you stop braids from intersecting a figure? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I'm pretty sure they have morphs...I'll check. How does that affect the issue?
Acutally the braids have individual parameters and the whole hair has morph fits for different characters. Each braid has it's own parameter, that's why the magnets are there, so that you can move a group of braids on one side. I tried checking include morphs when conforming, but that didn't seem to help.

Thread: How to make separetaly parts in a poser figure | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
There's an intriguing program called Jimmy|RIG that automaticly rigs figures. Check it out at http://www.origamidigital.com/typolight/index.php/home.html.
It's meant for motion capture but looks like it also rigs and makes joints for any figure. I never used it, but it looks like a great program.
I don't know if applys to your problem, but it sounds like it might.

Hey thanks a lot. I didn't know you could sketch a background image. I'm going to try it now.

I have the same problem. Fine at first then the figure jumps to the left and the mouse movement does nothing. I guess that's what dials are for. I can't even select a body part to move this way as it jumps immediatly.

Thread: why don't ibl lights cause reflections? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I did add an spere map to the reflection node and the effect is what I want, but it feels like cheating to just add an image map to an object. I probably could have added the image to the color node as well. Sorry, but I missed the point of the lack of specular component in IBL lights. Does this mean that they don't put out highlights or brightness? I just don't think it should work that way. Do other 3d programs treat ibl the same way?
Bill, I'm still working on your reply. I'm not sure that I'm precise enough to care if the image on the ball is not the exact same as the ibl, since the ibl effect is way to subtle for anyone to even begin to see the difference. Only you and I will know! It is intellectually interesting to know the difference though.
Thanks for all your help.
