It would help to have a comprehensive inventory of your hardware and software to give a really good evaluation. Chances are that you have an older computer which might be "borderline" for handling Windows XP and Poser 5. But then again, maybe not.

PWFW has been around awhile now, and that is an important consideration these days. Oh yes, and they produce some amazing content as well!!!

So did we create a hit list?! What worries me is the people liek Osama & Saddam are allowed to carry on and kill thousands or millions of people while other people or countries support them. Remember the World Trade Center victims, and the City of New York were not soldiers.

But if you save the original shirt, you won't be saving the morphs you just copied. Maybe you want to save the new shirt with the newly copied morphs?
Thread: Vicky 3, Injecting Morphs in Poser 5 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
When I wanted to inject facial expression morphs, I had the head selected. I didn't see any evidence that the morphs were injected. Then I discovered something funny. If I selected the body first, then injected a morph, and then selected the Head, the morphs would show up. I was happy with this discovery until it was evident that Vicky 3 and Poser 5 apparently are too much of a burden for my pitiful computer. It takes at least 10 minutes to perform a Poser 4 Render using Poser 5. I just don't have the patience to work that way. So it's back to Poser 4.

I'd dearly love to see dates associated with any updates. Curious Labs keeps referring to the current update as if it were a new one, and I don't think we've had a new Service Release for a month or so.

You might want to rethink the Subject titles you use. I looked at this one for a day or so, and didn't think it would contain anything interesting. However if you had used something more descriptive, such as "Latest News," I would have read the thread immediately.

Some folks have already put in enough hours for a second, un-paid fulltime job, just doing stuff to give away to others. Then you consider a real need to buy a better computer, or pay some dreaded "essential bills." All of a sudden the "bandwidth exceeded" message creeps up, with a suggestion that $20 a month would handle the expenses incurred by the bandwidth. Now let's see: 1.) Pay to give something away. 2.) Hope to save for a new computer 3.) Pay some bills?! Which is the necessity? Which provides the greatest personal satisfaction? Add to that the fact that this guy has been banned from every online Poser community. Hmm gee?!

Just to fill in some details: apparently it would cost about $20 a month to support the kind of traffic found on that site. A quick search revealed that a somewhat wimpy computer could be bought with that money (monthly payments over 4 years, ouch), or it could cover some much-needed medical expenses. Add those considerations to the "events of recent months," and you have "the big picture."
Thread: How many of you use Poser 5 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I put Poser 5 on the shelf for a time because it wouldn't render one character's hair at all. Then I tried Poser 5 with Vicky 3, and a good scene. It took forever to render, and I said screw it. Besides I've yet to find a good source of info on the more advanced Poser 5 features. The manual is faulty and I haven't found any good tutorials either. Maybe I'll retry Poser 5 in a few months.

Bring it back to the other side of the perspective. How many newbies can afford to pay someone for "professional quality" tutorials to help them learn a complex program like Poser, especially if the newbies aren't sure if or when they'd ever be able to earn money with their talents. Let's also look at web site hosts who want customers who will rarely use their web sites, because they make more profit than they would on a high-traffic web site. For that matter, how many of the "pay" Poser sites really make a profit? Or do they just limp along, hoping to at least pay for the bandwidth, and a few characters to help them make their goodies?
