gryffnn. :) I'll do that, - and tell them more detailed about how I've experienced the different file formats etc. They do have an interesting software, - but if you look at renders done in other softwares, you'll see that Poser isn't the only program that has problems in getting the models right. See.. :) Good thing that you found that too. lol For a while back there I thought it was me that was totally bonkers. It was after I got UV mapper Pro, that I saw that these models really have some serious problems. Not sure why they seem to work better when I convert them out of Plant studio in VRML format, - maybe it chops off some of those verticles on its way? How did you get that upper flower?? Did you take the flower via some conversion program?? Britt

Sharen, I didn't use 3D Exploration to convert them from WRML, Amapi reads that format, as well as DXF and 3ds. But for some reason the wrml format seemed to give less hassle than the other formats. Just sent you the url to a file I zipped just now. the plant is straight out of the plantstudio, - no editing there or anywhere else. Britt

One of the disadvantages with that Sharen, is that those are just models. With PlantStudio you can MAKE all sorts of different plants/flowers/shrubs... etc. The only thing we have to do is to crack the code as of getting them to look decent in Poser. And thgeisel.. I AM green of envy. But xfrog is much more expensive than Plantstudio. :( Britt

As you can see, you're not the only one who struggle with PlantStudion! :). I believe xena is using it to make the plants for the pots/plants combination they are making, and that you can find in free stuff. Neither of the plants have been flowering plants. and I'm not sure how they've solved the leaves problem. At any rate, the Lilly of the valley in the picture is one I totally remodelled after an output from Plant Studio. No matter how much I tried (even after I got UVmapper Pro) I couldn't turn the flowers white... they remained black. So I decided to re-model the whole thing. This is a VERY quick render, no textures to the flower or anything, - but just to show you the remodelled result. Like you, I'd be very grateful if anybody has a solution to the PlantStudio mystery. I've tried to use plant studio. There are several problems with the models. some (or even parts) of some plants seem to be inside out. Then there are some shapes that are single sided. Problem is that when you fix it you end up with a really BIG (size wise) flower. So what I've done is that I've brought the flower in to the modeller, and then re-modelled it all together. Seemed to be a better solution then fiddeling with Plant studio'd files. the water lilly (in free stuff) is one of the examples of that. Britt

another Photoshop technique is to cut/paste from a VERY similar area. When you're working with skin, - it would also take very small pieces of the skin, but a bit larger than what you want. Move the copy to "patch" over the area you want to fix. it will look pretty crappy at this point :) Adjust the transparency level down on the copied layer if you feel more comfortable with that. Make sure that's your "working level". Hit the eraser, - and choose a SOFT brush that will fit the size of the edge area that you will be working with. Set the brush transparency down, - I use about 50%. Then carefully erase around the edges of the little patch that you have copied, - till you see that it will fit the pattern that is underneath. This is a "fine print" work, use the undo if you erase too much, adjust the brush size as you go. and use a lot of patience ;) Good luck Britt

lol Anton... I dunno what "true" colors are. John and I are working in the same office, - he with programming and I with graphics. I got the better deal when it comes to monitors. But I'd have to say that when John yells at me.... open this file, - check the colors... Are they OK??? And then if I say... Uh... nope... the inside of your table doesn't match the outside... he needs to chek it for himself. on MY monotor.... So Now I understand why I also have the 'puter with the most RAM. It's disgusting how many windows I have to have open at the same time. lol Britt pssttt... uhm... you're fly is open! :P

I REALLY loke your choice of colors! :) Very nice. And I like the pose, - and your postwork ... except for her hair. With the rest of the image her hair sticks out like a sore thumb. Trans maps? Post work in Photoshop, - to make it look like hair?? Britt
