I had the exact same problem! SM included a Poser 8 Dog with out warning. It screwed my millennium dog runtime and now I have to pay for millennium puppies. Poser 8 sux!

DOF artifacts, so that's what's going on been pulling my hair out trying to figure out what was going on. Though I'm sure I checked poser pro to see if it was a bug and it happened there too, I though I was doing something wrong. It seems those artifacts at least the ones I've been getting are transparent to an extent in a weird way. BB I guess your back ground colour is black. I tried with white and cyan and noticed it was selected background color. Even if there is multiple objects behind the back ground colour leaks out.

I understand the function of the clamp node, but I'm confused what and why your doing with it. Does that make any sense?

Awesome stuff! I was wonder how much of that was due to poser physics, how much is you posing them. When the guy gets hit with the log what rolls out from under his leg? love the twitching pig.

Acadia has been at this longer and is more on top things than I, but I did it another way and it worked out fine. I installed V4 to her own runtime, I just used the daz studio option. I used the poser option for all the morphs after that. Once everything was installed I ran the .dat file from inside that folder just to make sure (that's all that short cut for updating v4 on your desktop does anyway).
I'm not sure what redundant files your talking about, if it is the Daz Studio files than you can always move them to another file until your sure you don't need them. But keep that !Daz folder in the right place, as well some add on products great similar folders.

I can't remember for sure how the original vss prop shaders were anymore, but could you have both the GC on for the shader and be using tone mapping? I think you want to use one or the other not both.

Ah this piece is fantastic moving piece of art! The circle is at odds with it's environment, feeling totally alienated. The circle feels small but not so small as to be insignificant. Or not. :)

I don't have the knowledge or experience,But, I would have thought this statement "There is some artistry/technique to getting the shaders right, but it isn't hard." is bunk if it didn't come from BB. So I guess I'm more dense then I thought.
