I have been thinking about pulling some of the talent from the forums together to make add-on products for RDS, Bryce and Poser. I think there is a pretty good market out there. LordsWarrior has a Medival play set with props like chairs sword barrells tables and some pre made rooms. Its a awsome CD. My Shades of Reality CD is selling pretty well. Its steady. I was thinking one day we might pull all of these "Add-on" CD's together on one web site to maybe help with the sales. My BIG problem is I dont take credit cards, yet. I'm getting ready to hook up with a web site that does take credit cards but I have to sell my product at wholesale prices to them. I'm still looking into that. I'm always open to new ideas and thoughts about making money in this Digital Art industry. If you come up with some brain storms let me know and we can discuss. I freelance. I will pimp out my art to anyone and everyone. I am a Systems Engineer and have been with the same company for almost 16 years now. I would also love to split the 9-5 gig. Its driving me nuts. I do art at night and on the weekends. Im always looking for projects to do. I've done about 4 paying art jobs in the last year. Kinda slow but I dont advertise. I hope one day to land the art gig that will pay my bills but havent found it yet. I would suggest part time..build up a good collection of your art and start looking for a company to hire you on. They all seem to be out west in California. Im in Georgia. Looks like a game company might be good to work for but the salaries seem to be pretty low. AutoLoader, Isnt Bryce a wonderful product. I have had the same reaction to some of my images. I showed one to my parents last evening and they flipped. They have seen any of my art for almost 1.5 years. I just love the render engine in Bryce. But darn its sooooo slow. I've been turning to Bryce for rendering lately. Anyway - Nice image. Thanks all.... Yea, Animation is my first love. ;) DD - Excellent. That was the feeling I was trying to convey. Isolated in the wide open grass lands for all to see.. I rendered the image at 2550x3300...Fine line art Anti-Aliasing. 1hr 23 min render time. PII 400 256mb RAM, WIN98. It was rendered for print on 8.5x11 paper @ 300DPI. Pan, Same here. Poser 4 figure Export to .OBJ then Import into Bryce 4 it holds the texture maps. If the .OBJ file isnt in the same directory as the poser texture maps Bryce 4 will prompt you to locate the specific texture maps location on your system. I also had the same question. I poured through the Bryce 4 doc and it talked about animating everything except water. I agree with Spike. Maybe a bump modification would be a cleaner way to do it rather than manipulating the texture itself. Im going to give it a go in the next few days. Clint - Ray Dreamers Forum

Yea, Over on the right side of the Bryce screen is a box. I think you right click on the boc to get the display type options. You have to move your cursor against the right side of the screen for this little sidebar to show itself. I think that will do it for you. Clint

SewerRat - Thanks for the reply. Yea, Im gonna get it along with RDS5.5 and Poser4. Man MC is after my hard earned cash. You know what - I do the same thing with RDS for creating texture maps to use. I will put a flat plane in RDS, scale to the size I need, apply a texture to the plane, adjust the camera so all it sees is the flat plane only, adjust the lights and render. I then save the rendered image as a TIFF file and use it for a texture to texture OBJ files with... :) Fun Stuff. My B-Day is July 18...My wife says she will get Bryce 4 as a present...OH I CANT WAIT! Thanks again for the reply to my message.
