Big problem I just noticed. When checking if items have updated (under My Account) you normally click on the updated button. The page would usually show from most recent dates of items updated. Now it shows from olderest. The problem is there is no way to pick last. You have to load each page. As a customer who's probably funded a ton of Renderosity, and has been a member for quite some time I have a huge number of purchase pages. I'm embarrassed by how many. I would have to click through over a thousand pages (Staff check to see I'm understating here) to look at most recent items updated. A return of the option to go to the last page would be ideal. Also the store search box (when on the standard new items page) is way too tiny. It's about 5 character letters wide. There's no reason (there's even extra space there) for it to be so small. You can't type the name of an item and see it without clicking in the box and moving your cursor. That's really a horrible mistake in design.

Thank you KimberlyC. Also a lot of product editorials don't load at all. Sales pages seem very slow. Am using Firefox, Google Chrome and Opera. Have been informed by friends that due to very large icons, the pages only display 2 items wide when viewed by tablets. I do like that the website shows Product Purchased when examining (or trying to cart) items accidentally. Apologies if my first critic came off as harsh. Website was very hard on the eyes (as someone who works with computers all day).

Thread: Poser Pro 2014 Michael 4 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Can you create a new scene with M4 and save it? Also, where are your items saved to? Try creating a folder under my documents, call the new folder Test Renders, move the saved m4s to there. Do all this with poser closed. Open poser and try to import from that location. If it works, store the new scenes there. I'm thinking it could be a directory permission change. Also check your firewall settings. Poser tends to want to use shared directories (not shared with everyone, just your local home network). A firewall update could have changed these settings. You might have to check the folder permissions.

Thread: Can camera movement be ignored by the undo function? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Poser has a ton of features, but a lot aren't obvious. :) There's also a keyboard shortcut for camera restore, as well as light restore, figure restore. Also Ctrl Z which is the standard undo command for most windows programs works in Poser. I've used it' a ton :)
Edited to add
The Ctrl Z funtion remembers up to a certain number of steps. If you created a scene and made a series of mistakes you can undo many of them (in sequence). There is also a redo shortcut key (it's under the edit menu, the actual key combination escapes me at the moment).

Thank you for the reply Richard, I'd never thought of doing animated scenes like this... It seems less daunting then the other ways.

Thread: Which one to use? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Adobe photoshop (CC which I think is the newest version) is the most widely used by magazine publishers as well as many artists and studios. That said I have to say Adobe currently has a subscription based price model that goes month to month. In some cases this can be a good thing, however I do like having a phsyical copy installed on my pc as Adobe had recent issues with their cloud storage (it might be integrated into the service). I read elsewhere about a magazine who failed to meet their publishing deadline due to the service having an outage, and them being unable to access many in house created elements (as well as their concern about Adobe's data breach a few years back and them possibly having work stolen).
You could do the monthly trial for a limited or use to use basis. The other option would be Gimp for Windows. An Adobe alternate. There was a shop for Gimp which changed the front end of Gimp to sort of look like Adobe.
I've used previous versions of Corel Painter and that's nice too. I will say I'm only a hobby person, nowhere near as professional as many of the artists here. Hopefully one of them will provide a more detailed and helpful answer :)

Thread: I never saw *that* error message before! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Much apreciated. When it's been removed, could it have saved to a different location? Since poser uses a folder under My Documents as well as a runtime in programs.... Also maybe the file was bonked when saving due to another program (anti-virus) scanning the files while in operation? Just grasping at straws to guess.

Thread: Wow ,,, is Renderosity bought by DAZ ? | Forum: Community Center
For an artistic site, draining color to grays and such is not ideal.... Plus there's still the wrong color text on wrong color back ground (try putting an item in your cart that you already have in your cart to see what I mean). It was a very haphazard rollout of a website redesign. As to the browser preferences, I don't like IE. Microsoft has a long history of trying to limit all your choices to Microsoft products. While they've been forced to change slightly they still get caught and sued (European union yay!!! for forcing changes on Microsoft!!! ) they still are very guilty of it repeatly.
As to the website drop off of users, I do have to admit it seems to peak at around 1600 ish, never getting back to the 3000 user days...

I know Renderosity has it's own interernal stats, but really, how many 3d artists use IE9? Have you seen their ad campaign? Paraphrasing here but "it stinks a little less".
"Even if you don't use Internet Explorer, you should try it out. Internet Explorer 6 and 7 are embarrassments that you should be ashamed to use. Internet Explorer 8 is acceptable, but no more than that. Internet Explorer 9 is the anti-IE6."

Sure it's got 31% usage stats right now (because every pc comes with IT installed). Most immediately download other browsers. Gambling on Windows 8 (and by virtue IE9) is a bad plan. Very much like gambling on the success of the Zune. Btw, Microsoft is already killing Kinect.
Don't design your website to favor the Microsoft browser (or Windows 8 soon to be gone when Windows 9 comes out). Also this is not Microsoft's first foray into tablets. The previous failed spectacularly.

Is anyone using Windows 8? Has the website been redesigned for that? The icons on the sales pages certainly seem to be bigger and sized for touch pads. Am willing to send Renderosity a color wheel (showing complimentary colors and which are opposites). This is pretty hard on the eyes...

Still better than one of the competitor sites (who shall remain unnamed but has 4 letters and 1 number in it's name). At least here the site still works (reasonably). There it took a year for them to get key features to work. They really ignore customers there too.
