Well, it depends on your climate as to when they come up. When I lived on the Gulf Coast, they came up about 3 weeks before they do here in Tennessee. But it is cool how they announce the coming of spring. This fall (when the bulbs are available in the stores) I'm gonna plant a million of 'em!

That's still got a bunch of color! Pine trees have the most unusual texture! Could have been your contest entry!

Well, it's kinda hard to see it all because of all the undergrowth. You do get bits and pieces, but Id have to stay at the window with my telephoto lens, and time is something Im always in short supply of!

Looks like too much red, especially in the dark areas, like the shadows around the bushes at the bottom. But that would take just a minute to correct in Photoshop. Cool pic, though. Looks like some of the early scenes from Alfred Hitchcocks movie The Birds!

The view from outside my office window showcases a highway overpass, and underneath it a world of entertainment unfolds every day, such as teenagers skipping school doing drugs, and homeless people waging war on each other. Every once in a while a car goes over the edge. Everyone wants an office with a window, but I think Ill blow up this fine picture of the falcon, and paste it over mine!

How bizarre it is that we measure our age by how many times the earth revolves around the sun, when our aging process has nothing to do with it. Some are born old, while others remain forever young. Hopefully Slynk, old age will never cross your mind!

I would agree with Rork, looks like a cool clock. What is the writing? Perhaps a larger post will allow us to read it. Although it's not necessary, it would help us on the feeling you're going after. Next time tell the guard your great grandparents are there.

Slynky, I am really impressed with this whole on-going story. They better let your ass in!

I'm sure it will come your way. Even if you werent qualified (which you of course are), your personality would get you through. And if not, you can always contact "cat amaris". In fact, doing that may be even more exciting than the job!

Its a torture device. It holds hot water or oil, and they bring in people upside down and use the scoop to pour it down their nose. But maybe not. The rock doesnt make sense because if you can create all that ironwork, why would you use a crude rock as a tool? Perhaps its a bathroom sink. But I still dont understand the rock.
Thread: Texture or Illusion of Texture? | Forum: Photography
She used to be in theatre, and once she had a job dressing up and masquerading as a mannequin in a department store. After a while, when people were looking, she would scratch her nose or move in some way to surprise the onlookers. So, she found this job in the dark fairly easy, except for the occasional crab!
