Make the animation as an .avi file convert it to .gif take the animation to Fireworks, reduce the colours to what you want, import to Flash or convert back to .avi and import as a background movie render blank scene as Flash movie.

The lights thing is our old friend interpolation, learn to love your graph editor, the answer's in there, check the colour dials. As to the length of the animation. Web based movies need, IMHO, to emulate TV adverts, quick and slick, short scenes telling a story succinctly. Count the seconds a typical scene lasts, well OK so maybe not film noir, but mostly the scenes are pretty short, 12 frames per second and over a thousand frames you're just going to bore people. So, Phil's absolutely right but, do you need to do this to yourself. If I need to get another scene using the same characters then I just highlight the last frame in the graph pallette and move it over to the first, wipe everything else out and move on from there. Oh, and one other tip, vary the scene's length, it can look really stupid if they're all exactly the same. I always break all of my own rules just to make sure they still work but it was the funniest gang bang I've ever done. Ah, and keep the action away from the start of the scene. Oh, I'm boring myself now, sorry.....

I've got a brief tutorial on my (clean) site that deals with this. URL above, ignore the Atmosphere part of the site, still working on that bit! I also have a Yahoo group I'm trying to get going for animators. The group is not connected to Curious in any way and covers animations made in Poser and in Flash. The name of the group is Flash_erotica.Thread: What to morph stuff really easily? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I'd be a grateful buyer too! I use Lightwave for what few morphs I do, I'd do a lot more if I had a program that allowed for my impatience. Incidentally, Natural Pose, brilliant! I'm saving my pennies for the full version, I just sit there watching the machine doing all the work for me, I know it's sad, like finding a washing machine fun, but I love sitting there and seeing all the menus flying past and the movie forming.

This looks exciting! I'm particularly interested in the Lightwave bone rig. I still haven't got the hang of Lightwave's bones. I'm sure there's a way of getting Poser characters into Lightwave and boning them there. Perhaps what you've done will shed some light....

Thanks Phil, I've tried this but couldn't get it to work. I'll have another go! I'm still having problems getting viewpoint files to show up on the net. Hey, ho! I'll get there eventually.....

Here's a little tutorial that might help....Thread: Poser for animation? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Welcome to the wonderful world of animation. I think Ed's covered most but I'd like to add, learn to love the graph editor. I did a brief tutorial on Poseamation a while back and put it onto my site http://www.enigmastudio.co.uk go to the tutorial section that'll save you having to trawl back through the archives. It might help explain some of the mysteries. I've now left Poseamation, but I've started a new little group on Yahoo called Flash_erotica you'd be welcome to join me there. Personally, I think Poser is the easiest of the apps to learn animation with and many of the concepts cross to the other more expensive apps.

Oh pooh, looks like Tripod's not going to co-operate. I'll try again later, that's the trouble with free pages. I don't quite understand Wolf's reply, is the link an example of bad practice?

Thread: Question about codecs | Forum: Animation
There are a lot aren't there. One thing's for sure whichever you choose someone will moan that they can't see them, usually me! I suppose it depends on your target audience and whether they'll have the codec installed on their computer, which is why I always use Flash or .mpegs for the web.
