There aren't a huge number of models specifically for Bryce, because Bryce can import almost all the model formats (obj, 3ds, lwo, etc.) for use in Bryce. Just about anything except Vue *.vob and 3dsMax *.max (neither of which is importable in Bryce or just about anything else) can be imported and used in Bryce, so there's huge flexibility there. If you make your models in one of those widely used formats, such as .obj, then Poser and most everything else can use them in addition to Bryce. I have lots & lots of models downloaded from the net to use in Bryce. Only about 5% of them are in Bryce's .obp format. Obj works the best because of the way textures can be mapped, though obj files tend to be rather large. All I can say is "GO for it" - good models are always in demand.

It does NOT convert MAX. AFAIK, only the high-priced converters will touch max files, the ones with the $500+ price tags.

Try 3DWin - I've found it's better than crossroads. There's a free version and a newer fairly inexpensive version. I've been using the free version for some time to do all my conversions.

Even without the fur problem, it sure would be nice if there were a cat that's actually built like a real cat, instead of the strange somewhat-sortof-semi-cattish creature that passes for the Poser cat.

Procedural works just fine for SOME things. For others, it just won't work at all. Using both, as appropriate, is the way to go.

I also have been instructed by my owners,..... erm.... "cats" to agree. Since I always do as they bid, I'll have no problem with that (so they tell me). I guess I should feel deprived, having only 2 cats to answer to. sigh I always get the short end of the stick. ;o) (My cats have just said they have no intention of sharing my 'meager' services with any other cats. Sheeesh.)

The term "trolling" has long been in use in these fora. Everybody whose been here for any amount of time should certaily be familiar with it. There are certainly enough complaints about trolls in all the fora. Suddenly, and out of nowhere, we are told that "tagging" is an offense against the TOS (but not mentioned anywhere in the TOS, BTW), but the PTB refuse to even tell us what "tagging" is. It looks more and more and more and more and more with each passing second that "tagging" is code for badmouthing CL in any way/shape/form.
