In user settings I use between 16 and 25 rays per pixel and bump the quality threshold up about 3/4 of the way or better. The results look good but my final renders usually take anywhere from 20 to 40 hrs.

Objects in Vue can't become light sources, so I don't think the dome is actually contrubuting to the lighting. I don't think using bounce lighting will work either since that is a part of what real GI calculates. Now, maybe something off camera for the sword to reflect might be a good idea. Also, instead of the colored lights, you could try adding a small amount of blurred reflection to the ground plane to cheat the colored shadows. Rich

There really isn't alot of work to it. It took me about 20 minutes to do it including equalizing the luminance. You have a digital camera don't you Mike? You should figure out how to do it in Painter. I bet you could come up with all sorts of cool textures.
