Given Lynn's opinion on a recent post about copyright, it can be argued that once you make a render of an object in a scene, it stopped being that object (3d mesh) and becomes just an image of it (2d pixels). As long as you don't provide the Vue source file with the 3d object in it, it would be abusing if someone forbids you to use that image commercially. This happens to be my opinion too... but then again, it is just an opinion.

That's also what I understoud from Lynn's post. You can read it here. Now, you must know that the copyright of the images included in Vue belongs to the artist who created it. I don't know how the copyright is handled for the objects included in the Vue sample scenes. Maybe a question for e-on or Lynn again? I don't care if you use mine, but I cannot speak for other artists. GuittaAttached Link: http://www.renderosity.com/viewed.ez?galleryid=65507&Start=1&Artist=Axe555&ByArtist=Yes
Thanks for the responses. I've contacted e-on about this and I'll post the answer to a new thread. The link is to the image in question in my gallery btw. Is it ok to use the objects that come with Vue 4 in commercial renders? I haven't found anything in the EULA that says one way or the other. Thanks, Rich
