My slow @$$ computer still rendering another test scene i'm starting to wonder. I think i used this same tut in poser 6 and I don't think i got any streaks maybe its a Poser 7 thing. Still testing around with ockhams Idea. I will post some more results when its done rendering

Thats what I was starting to think was something with the lighting i was basicly using the default lights just to practice with. Let me change that around see what happens. So your saying you should only use one light with reflections facing in front?

yes its a one sided prop just like in that tutorial link i posted as well, even the distance from the figure is exactly the same as in the same tutorial. The results is suppose to be a mirror like reflection just those streaky lines i have know idea where they are coming from.

hmmm yeah i know that i guess i should make it more clear so here is the tutorial I am following from the brushes I purchased on the MP

Now as you read through it you see in several places they talk about changing a layer color to white or black not the whole layer its self but the item in the layer from your paint brush.

So thats what i'm trying to figure out how she did it in the tutorial that part was left out :( hope this makes it better what I'm trying to do. Im not trying to add color to a layer but change the color of the paint brush item itself in the layer.

Thank you I will check out those links soon as i get a chance right now I'm playing with the clown tutorial that came with poser. But its pretty much do this then that, and doesn't explain alot about the features of why they doing that and what other options there are.

Anyways if anyone has any more links, tips, advice, please post I want to learn as much as I can on how to use animation features in poser. Other topics of interest are best clothing types to use for aniamtions, also how they using the hair room can be implented as well just all the little things to consider while putting together a scene for animations.

Well I clicked the V4.1 icon and it loaded in but with out the morphs, meaning none show up in the parameter dials.

Next I tried to load a body and face character injections into the character and nothing which tells me if V4.1 loads with morphs already in then the file must of been over written by the v4.2 cr2.

Next for s*its and grins I injected the v4 morphs and inj character morphs loads fine. So again I guess I have to assume that both v4.1 and v4.2 icons load v4.2.

How ever the products I have that say for v4.1 only seem to work fine so far so maybe at the time they put it up to be downloaded v4.2 didnt exist yet and V4.2 is backward compatiable. So until I see other wise I guess the only thing to do is to go on and pose away on them until I notice an issue or DAZ comes out and clearfies all this confusion.

Since you have both installed now. Why not try it out?

Load V4.1 and go and inject a character addon. If you can inject it like you did before  without poser searching for a gazillion morph files, then you know V4.1 still works fine.

If you get a bunch of errors where Poser is looking for something, then you have the answer.

Well my one question I have I thought i read some where that the v4.1 icon will still be in your figures folder but it will be actually loaded if you load it from that icon. So if this is the case you have a V4.1 icon and a V4.2 icon and if you load either they are both loading V4.2 correct?

So if that is the case then how do you tell which figure is being loaded. If I can figure that out then I can test your theory. Be nice if Daz would help us differentate between the two by having it say on your figure selection in the scene say V4.1 or V4.2. That might have been smart.

Well I just realized it tonight when I bought a product that said will only work on V4.1 only so far i haven't seen an issue, but then again I'm not sure any more when I click the v4.1 icon if its loading V4.1 or V4.2 cause I thought I read somewhere that they are both v4.2 once you install the newer version I could be wrong and hoping to find out here.

Yeah i found that and it works now, But I dont remember having to do that with the V4.1 or earlier version is that new with this update? Also there show two options when I go to that one that says something like base morphs and then one for Morphs++.

I did the morphs++ I'm pretty sure I did that right, cause it worked. But out of courisity whats the diffrence between them does the base just like remove all morphs and just make it a basic V4 char with no morphs.

Also I noticed on not all V4 chars I dont have to do that for it sometimes works fine with out having to load those morphs meaning I load V4 out of library then apply the morphs from what ever it shapes her just fine. Just some baisc explaination is all I'm looking for.

Yeah thats what I do with this product I go to poses click inj body, face, or full (which are the three option it gives to add the morphs) but nothing happens. So thats why I was wondering if perhaps there is a compatbilty issue with me using V4.2 and this product.

I tested some other products I have for V4 and everything seems to work fine but this product doesn't work so was just looking for people who had the same product or had similar issues with other products.

Now just need to practice a bit more on the other thing Tihomir was talking about and I will be one step further to using PS to its full potential thanks guys and gals you have been helping me out a lot.
