Thread: Where can I sell my brand new copy of Carrara 4? | Forum: Carrara
My copy of Carrara 4 has been pretty stable when I import my poser figures. Occassionally it will seem to hang if I import a big .pz3 (say something with 3 or 4 unimesh figures) but after a little bit progress bar appears, followed shortly afterwards by the scene itself. Using C4 and Poser 6 for the record.

ju8nkm9l, Why did you decide to sell your copy? Just asking out of curiousity. I guess you could try Ebay if all else fails. People selling software on ebay all the time. A lot of it is already opened or pre used. But I guess it still sells.
Thread: DazStudio Vs Poser | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I downloaded and installed a copy of Studio awhile back. At the time though it was still very rough and not really useable for my purposes. Always meant to install the latest version but never got around to it. I blame my diminishing amount of free time and energy. Agree with those who think Studio is not quite ready to unseat Poser just yet, but I'm very interested in seeing the final version at some points. Re: DAZ is evil...never had any beef with them myself. I shop at a variety of Poser stores and few of them give me as much in the way of incentive as DAZ does when it comes to buying their products. And no one is twisting my arm to make these purchases. If someone is in debt over this, I don't think it's DAZ's (or any other vendor's) fault or responsibility.

re: " Are you guys getting good conversions with products from the likes of BillyT, AsShanim and Uzilite?" I have tried converting a few Uzlite outfits. M3 Sade outfit to V3 and S3 - somewhat wrinkled looking in both cases (especially the undershirt), but acceptable. V3 Liquid Halo to the Girl - minimal wrinkling/warping; turned out quite nicely.

Thread: What key commands do you use most often? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
CTRL M,Y,U, and R most often, along with whatever blasted key on the keypad splits your camera view into multiple ports. That last one isn't intentional but I end up doing it a lot after trying to input values into the various dials. Other than that, I almost never use keyboard shortcuts in Poser. Kind of odd considering how often I use em in other programs.
Thread: Is there an late TNG uniform for V3 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Just wanted to chime in and add my voice to the endorsing of Poserworld. For your subscription price, you get access to a LOT of stuff. My favorites are actually the set pieces, although the clothing is great too.
Thread: Why no comments? | Forum: Community Center
Eh, I wouldn't feel too bad about it. If it makes you feel any better, I have an image up that's almost a week old with 41 views and no comments. :) Time of the week and time of day have almost as big an impact on views/comments as quality and subject matter. I'd agree with the others who said not to worry about it and just do stuff that makes you happy. SamTherapy's totally right--you can't really predict what the public will like anyway. No sense wasting too much time worrying about it.

I'll look for that the next time I fire up Poser and WW. Thanks! (And I guess this is incentive for me to watch that video tutorial on JP's again)
Thread: Wardrob wizard and Vicky2 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Hmmm I suppose that's technically true but then don't you have to fiddle with joint parameters and such? There was a tutorial in the yahoo group which involved using the "convert to advanced" feature but it also makes use of a "copy joints" button which hasn't been added to the public version of the program yet (unless they've already issued a new update and I just missed it).

Wolf, I'm not sure if you've followed the various other WW related threads, but just wanted to let you know that clothing morphs do not transfer over. There are workarounds (morph manager, editing the CR2 or OBJ, which was posted on the yahoo group, etc.) but natively the program does not support it. Doesn't stop me from recommending the program, but it is something you should know. Especially if you want to convert things like Wusamah and AS clothing, which have a lot of morphs to control movement and such.
Thread: Verdict on ApolloMaximus | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
To clarify my above post: With Apollo, t's not so much a question of "is there a good (insert favorite) morph?" as it is "can I find a good combintion of dial spins to create the look I'm after?"
This is what makes Apollo very powerful and versatile IMO but at the same time makes him kind of daunting.

randym77 askied "And is there a decent Asian morph?" The selection is actually quite broad; there are a LOT of options when it comes to spinning the dials. This can be both good and bad depending on your point of view.
