Thread: my fist poser good poser image | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Grab Staale's 'vickybuster' texture for the p4 woman in the freestuff area, thats just about the best youll find for posette. Syyd's Dr. Morpheen (also in free stuff) is probably the best p4 male character/texture out there (I cant believe these two artists are giving great stuff like this out for free, its far better than some of the marketplace items out now). Kozaburo's site (www.digitalbabes2.com) has some great hair and lash transparencies, grab his lashtrans.jpg file from there and apply that in the transparency field for posettes eyelashes. Then turn the maximum transparency up to maximum and either load a texture map for the lashes or change the color to a dark brown or black.

Those suits look a lot like swfreeman's Half-Life HEV suit. Why don't you see if he's interested - looks like all it would need is a re-texture.

An even better source would be Microsoft's site -- do a search for their Microsoft Combat Flight Simulator 2: WWII Pacific Theatre game. They have tons of high-res screenshots of game screens and aircraft in the game, and their textures are unbelievable. They have several versions of the Zero.

You can find her here. Theres a pretty hefty price-tag on her. I had to buy her for a client and I nearly had a heart-attack when I saw how much she costs.Thread: Shine | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
The hair on her is actually a mesh -- not transmapped. Each strand is actually modelled individually. You would think that it would take hours to render because of the high polys, but it actually renders much faster than transmapped hair. If I could remap her, then create a decent texture for the exposed skin/face, she would be perfect.

Well, she does have a point. Although they could have thrown in some casual items for michael, guys usually wear a shirt and a pair of pants (which, in this case, can be morphed from casual to dress), whereas women wear short/long/medium skirts, dresses, slacks, halter tops, blouses, sweaters, etc etc etc etc. I still think they should have added a sweater, tshirt and more morphs for the pants though.

Fiontar you are missing the point. Noone said that it was a bad product -- I wouldnt have gotten it if it werent appealing. The fact is that it is a poser product with a price on the higher end of the spectrum, and one expects a certain level of quality when you buy something from Daz - especially at that price. I can take something from freestuff that has some bugs in it, spend a few hours tweaking it, and come up with a brilliant render. But I shouldn't have to make any complicated adjustments when I purchase something. There is nothing about these 'adjustments' on Daz's site. Its rediculous, making the feet and toes invisible, scaling them to 75% and then tapering the shins to 1%????? Its a joke, and if Anton would have spent some time getting this product right then we wouldnt have any problems. I'm not even going to get into the spelling mistake in the default installation directory that is probably causing hundreds of less computer-literate people headaches. This was the first Anton product that I have ever bought, and the last. As for Daz, they better smarten up -- this reflects on them even worse than on Anton, who doesnt give a damn anyway. Apparently he just wanted to get the damn thing out as fast as possible and start raking in his money. Daz should have a warning underneath the item stating that "modifications to your victoria character are necessary in order for this product to function".

Well, I think its a great looking item -- but if it has problems that severe then it should not have been released for sale at Daz3D. They have pretty high standards of quality there, and its shocking that they let this go. I cant believe that it wasnt tested properly. Even with the installation -- NOONE, neither Anton nor Daz's testers noticed that it installs to a misspelled default directory? Come on. Didnt they test the installation? Noone at Daz loaded the suit up on vicky and hit the Conform To button and noticed that her feet were sticking out the sides of the boots??? Daz is as much to blame for this as Anton is.
