Ok to try and make it clear. The LaFemme (lite) version included with Poser will have the LHomme basic morph include I imagine for what Jenn said sometime after the Holidays, which seems perfectly acceptable to me. Anyone with LaFemme Pro(again I have no special knowledge just what Jenn posted above) already has at least the base morph included in the update. LHomme Pro does include a fair number of additional product, such as Poses, additional morphs, the DevRig, and Genitals, Oh and several texture/materials files. Also included is One Click -Load versions of LHomme both Gens and No Gens that have the LHomme dials locked to prevent accidentally "de-morphing" him back to LaFemme. I may not have listed everything but I don't think that too bad a haul considering the amount of time and work involved.
On a personal note I applaud Rendo for placing it at a more realistic price range, it's been too long that Rendo was considered the bargain basement of Poser/DS content. The quality is every bit as good as Daz but due to creators competing for sales and other marketing factors, the pricing has remained very low compared to DAZ and I think it's time that start to be rectified.

Look let it go the initial poster has all but said they are happy to move to DS. Good! Good bye to them and happy rendering. All that keeping this thread going is doing is lettung it turn into a Poser Troll. If the OP is happy then drop it All of this over one person that isn't WILLING to embrace a new version is beating a dead horse. Poser NEEDS to move forward, not backward.

Personally, realizing that it's going to take Bondware/Rendo between 6 months and a year to get a GOOD team together, grt everyone up to speed on the internals and then create a plan forward, I would like to see them just concentrate on Bug fixes, like the persistent micro offset in mirroring from side to side, and maybe stream line some of the content creation tools.. I don't expect a lot for their first offering, I can hope but I won't be too disappointed if they start slow as long as they show they demonstrate an interest in improving the product. I'd much rather see many of the existing bugs killed than just slapping new "features" onto an old and fragile skeleton.

HI @thoennes, reports on La Femme bugs should be sent to store@renderosity.com for attention. You probably won't see an immediate update since one was just made, but believe me they are listening, LOL. I sent them an email about your problem and got the store@renderosity.com in response.

YAY , Jenn! Less bashing and more celebrating! Oh and Tony LaFemme in YOUR opinion may be a bad figure but in MY opinion she is head and shulder above other POSER only figure. That my opinion and you do know what they say about opinion right? so why not give it a rest and work in your own figure.

As Glitterati3D said above there is nothing wrong with wanting a plugin to use DAZ figures in Poser, but that request should and in fact MUST be aimed at DAZ not Poser's owners. Among the reasons for that are the fact that Bondware/Rendo have a program they expect to SELL... for a PROFIT. In order to incorporate DAZ's proprietary handlers they would need to license the tech from DAZ (a fact that I'm sure DAZ thought of when creating such technology). Therefore Bondware/Rendo would have to pay for said liciense causing the price for Poser to increase or the profit margin to decrease, both undesirable outcomes. Another is that DAZ knows their tech... Bondware/Rendo would have to PAY their development team to first learn Poser (if they aren't already familiar with it) AND Daz's technology (If not familiar with it). time is money so the cost for the learning time would need to be passed on the the end users, again an undesired out come for (little?) gain.
All fof these arguments apply for IRay, etc. This is NOT the way a company wants to think after just acquiring a software. Best to keep things relatively stable and look to make IMPROVEMENTS to current software tech, until some profits are made that can be rolled back into research and development.
As for figures.. I believe Rendo has a strong investment (if not outright ownership) of LaFemme and the projected L'Homme figure, ( reading between the lines here). Laemme has had one upgrade already to make her more friendly for content creators and users. She is a very quality figure in my opinion, and may well be the first change Bondware/Rendo makes to the software. Give the new owners a chance to run some of the shine off their new purchase. Keep calm (aka civil) and see where they plan to take Poser, before getting too heated!

If you read about La Femme 1.1 the figure now include improved Developer Kit to make content creation easier. I think that alone shows which way the dev team is moving for the future (edited) the FIGURE dev team that is, not necessarily the Poser team
Thread: Hair collisions with a hat? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
@putrdude
Poser's "Collision Detection" is really only there as an indicator it doesn't (sadly) CORRECT collisions. The methods Boni said above are about the only current options in Poser. One point about the magnet is that once you have created the magnet for a figure (V3, V4, or La Femme) SAVE it. It can be reused at least as a starting point for other hats and other hair styles.

Maybe I'm not sure ,I just figured there was a good reason since so many poseable figures have been made with the T pose. Still in all I think she's a fantastic figure.

bantha I jsut picked it up, what threw me is it says it's for Poser 8 so I was afraid it wouldn;t work with LaFemme

OK, well I didn;t work on the figure but I took that as the same reason for spacing between the legs, It makes it way easier to rig clothing without a ton of poke thru or even pushing in of the fabric, Maybe I'm wrong but that's why I figured it was done that way... as a compromise. Personally I would have opted for an A pose which I think is also way easier to model clothing for.
