Hey... I love his stuff... and when I heard how much trouble he was having with a host I had no problem offering him a new home for his awesome work. This guy is just phenominal. His meshes make me drool sometimes and as a bonus, now I get to beta-test all his new stuff before anyone else does! :P So that made it all worthwhile... I just hope my server can keep up with the demand... it's just a little bitty home server I run to serve up my own pages off my computer, but he really needed a place to get his stuff out. I gave him all the space he wants and no band-width limit (unless my internet provider has a problem with it and I doubt it). Hope everyone enjoys!

There's only one Cray... it's used by NASA and I doubt it's for sale. I do know they sell time to use it... it's the fastest computer on the planet with liquid cooled chips. They use it mostly for testing stress levels on air/space craft in real time 3D environment. I think it's equivelent to a 500 gig hz processor. Your best bet thou, no matter what software you buy, make sure you get the largest amount of hard drive space, memory and processing speed on the market. Also make sure to get the best graphic cards and monitors with as much ram as they can hold, because without it, you won't be able ot use many of the programs available. I know Maya will only work in Window's 2000. be prepared to spend upwards of $2000-4000 just for the computer system to be able to do everything you want. Well if I had a blank check, that's what I would be doing!

What I would do personally, is actually take the leaf image and edit it to show the water on the leaf itself and then do highlights after mapping that leaf back onto the plant with small spheres of water droplets. That may work better... I'll try a test and see.

Nope... didn't help... ok... I tried several different file formats BMP, TIF, GIF... I even attempted to increase the image size by a factor of 3 times the original size. NADA! Any more suggestions?

That could be the culprit... I'll try saving it in a different format and see if that helps any.

I was having that same problem when doing my explosion in the nova picture... I solved it by using a spotlight, and turning the haze/fog effect down more and not touching the volumetric setting from the default. See if that helps any.

Very cool helpful information and it's great to know there's some modelers on here... the reason I take the photos of the models is that I run a model resource site online call Master Modeling... I like to take photos of the progress of building a model to studio quality using average store bought model kits. If anyone would like to see some of my model work, you can do so at the attached link. I'm hoping that with this new camera I can get better detail of some of the work I've done.Thread: Help- again | Forum: Vue
Actually... I've found that using a sunlight object doesn't work.. you'll need to use a spotlight and turn the volumetric option on in the light object options. Hope that helps.
