when my Vue does that, I usually have to close Vue, close all other windows, open task manager/services, make sure there's nothing else running that might be causing a strain on Vue...

then i reopen Vue,, go to task manager/processes...rightclick on Vue, make sure its priority is set to 'normal'

hmmm...when using inverse kinetics (right & left leg clicked), it works just fine,,can move the hips,etc while the legs stay intact

but u can try this : go to 'edit/prefs/content library/content directory manager or, on the top right corner of the content panel, click on the little arrow tab, then select 'search hd for files or scan known directories

i've got pc/i7/quadcore(3.9mhz)/16 gigsRam, & use multithreading..speeds things up & never had any probs, but each OS is different, of course

''many of the new files are showing but does not have any iconic figures''...this means they've been installed to the wrong path, far as i know... what path r u installing them to ?

(example ; Program files/DAZ 3d/DAZ4/Studio/content'.,,or documents/'DAZ4/Studio/content',,etc)

i've got zbrush & it's great, just mentioning tho that 3DCoat also has that option :)

u can use your keyboard up/down arrow keys (& the number keys) to scroll thru the items in the viewport, but it doesn't exclude lights, so u'll have to scroll thru the lights to get to the desired item...other than that, i dunno

select the item, go to the Material Room, ..in the top right corner of the material editor, make sure the 'object/ item & material is selected that u want to make glo....then click on the 'advanced' tab...find the 'specular' (or ambient as mentioned in earlier post)..press on the value (number box) & drag to the right, (or just type in a number)...u can start with 5 or 10,, u should see the item's mat get brighter in the mat preview, but do a testrender ..u can also change the color of either by clicking on their color boxes

don't know which version of Poser u have, but there's also GlowWorm & Shader Spider, both for Poser 7

can u post a screenshot  ? (u can upload a screenshot to photobucket or even to ur rendo gallery)

first u need an unzipper (extractor) like winrar..u can download a free version from the web...then once its installede, go to the folder where the zipped file is, rightclick on it, then select 'extract here' , or direct it to the desired folder path (ur 'DAZ4/Studio/content')...if u use 'extract here', then u'll need to copy/paste the files into their designated destinations...lmk if u need more info

far as I know, the Layered Image Editor came with DAZ Studio 4 Pro (still free til end of April http://www.daz3d.com/i/shop/itemdetails/?item=13176 ) .... check your plugins by going to 'help/about plugins'
