Thread: Reference: My Camera and Editing Software.......Yours? | Forum: Photography
I started out on my dad's Pentax SP1000 with 28mm, 35mm, and 70-300mm lenses with +1 +2 +4 magnifiers. Now I have a Canon T2 and 28-90mm f/4-5.6, 50mm f/1.8, 75-300mm f/4-5.6 Canon lenses with uv, polarizing, and 81As for all. I just upgraded to PS CS and love it!
Thread: Can you see what's wrong with this? | Forum: Photography
I've already tried to pry parts off but the only ones, or one rather, that I got off is user-installed and that part seems like a waste. It is definitely not user-friendly.

It's an HP psc 2175. I just lifted the top part like I was replacing the cartridges and didn't see anything that could be unscrewed that might help. The top seems to be snapped in place pretty securely. A quick search on google hasn't turned up anything.

I can see the streaks right under the glass but I can't figure out how to get to them. Ther aren't any screws I can find.

The streaks are on the back-side of the glass where I can't reach them. I using an all-in-one printer/scanner/copier from HP. This is my second one because the first also had the same problem. I bought a dedicated scanner and it doesn't have this problem but it also takes up real estate that I don't have anymore. I think I'll probably just go get the negative scanned.

Two failures? That seems like quite a bit with a memory card you can accidentally send through the wash and not worry about it.
Thread: Anyone noticing a glitch in the forums? | Forum: Bryce
It only seems to happen to me when I take a long time to write a post. Like Drac said it is probably a timeout behavior.

I have to return the Velvia that got shipped to me. It was 120 size. Now I have to wait a long time to get slides back. They used to get shipped 1.5 hours north to Dallas but the lab stoppeddoing general work so they get shipped to Pennsylvania. I love slides, nonetheless.
Thread: Happy Fall Everyone! | Forum: Photography
Fall? Now? It's not Fall! It won't be Fall until later next month when the high's will hopefully drop below 90. Winter doesn't even start until Christmas here.
Thread: extreme neutral density filter | Forum: Photography
It got a little confusing when it said it was available in 6 sizes but at the top it said one size.

Render huge. Many print shops take 150 to 300 dpi TIFF files. Actual DPI will depend on the shop. I'm guessing it should cost less than $30.
Thread: Help Moon | Forum: Photography
It's a bright disc because it is overexposed. The darkness of the sky is tricking the metering mode. You should try manual mode and speed up the shutter and shrink the aperture until you get what you want.

Thread: How many countries do we reach? We cross polinate! : ) | Forum: Photography
I have a map above my bed with visitor's countries to my website and I had to get a big map with just europe so I could tell the name of the country because the thumbtacks covered all of some of them.
