Thanks a million for the info everyone.
I guess it's best then that I wait and install it on my main PC first just in case, and then see about getting the second code for my laptop.
Kind Regards.

Hi all.
Thanks a million for your advice.
I tried that with the camera and it worked. I was able to slip a background image in with easy. Kind of annoyed now though that I didn't spot this myself :-) I didn't know the Pro Studio edition could do that and the E-on website really threw me off.
Anyway.... it does what I want so I'm happy.
I downloaded the PLE edition too and I see what you mean about painting eco's WOW...!!!!! That's freaking amazing.
Quote - Peggy_Walters ..... Once you paint your first ecosystem, you'll upgrade!
Ha... !!! True... so true.
Yeah, I'm going to take the plunge and upgrade. Just seems to far more creative than Pro Studio.
Thanks a million for all your advice.
Kind Regards.

Hi Bruno.
Very sorry for the delay in getting back to you. Thanks a million for all your help. I'll just set my PCs to render an iamge higher than 3000 to see if that works now then using the new settings.
Kind Regards.

No, I'm using a custom setting, but I'm also turning off the dof and motion blur. The problem is if I set the resolution to anything higher than 3000 X whatever X 300 DPI, I then have to reinstall the software to clear out whatever sort of glitch this is causing. Shutting down, rebooting and clearing out any scheduled jobs does not help. Only reinstalling the software frees up the system again.
I've just verified this this morning by painfully having to reinstall 4 times in order to see if I could recreate the problem.

Hello.
I tried to do what you suggested, but Vue would not allow me. The second I abort something, it creates 4 more. Tring to unload the nodes didn't help either as Vue would just rescan for them on it's own faster than I could shut them down.
Anyway... some good news. This is such strange behaviour, I decided to reinstall vue. It's working perfect again. I have an idea of what I did at this point to cause all this so I'll file a bug report with e-on.
Thanks a million for all your help.
Kind Regards.

Thread: Standalone Render kicks in on it's own. ..HELP | Forum: Vue
Hello.
Thanks for your reply. There was a job sitting in there, and clearing it out has stopped the Standalone mode from kicking in automatically.
However, Vue is still starting to render images without my consent. As soon as I hit the EDIT button to load my nodes, it shuts down the window and starts to render my image. No jobs where scheduled.
If I abort, it will somehow place 4 projects to be rendered into the schedule all on it's own (same project 4 times).
Do you think at this stage it's just better to reinstall the software ?. I has behaved up until tonight.
Kind Regards.
James.

Yep, it’s working away really well now.
Hope they release a new download for you too. It’s a higher version than the initial release, so obviously they found something in there that the update patch didn’t fix.
Kind Regards.

Hello.
I finally got a reply from e-onsoftware. I guess the holidays slowed them down a little.
Anyway… they activated a new download for me and after removing the old one, and installing the new one. Everything is now working fine.
I’m currently rendering an image right now across 5 laptops. Laptops are so handy on saving space.
In short… I’m a happy camper again :-)
Kind regards.

Hi Guys.
Did anyone ever find a solution to this problem? Still no luck here.

I have the exact same problem here with V6 Studio Pro.
It’s been driving me nuts because I can’t get it installed and I need too in order to cut down rendering times.
If anyone has a solution, I’d love to hear it.
Regards.
James

I dont like it either and can only echo what has been said here already. Im also sick of seeing SQL errors all the time. Seems the website is offline more often than online. As for the galleries. Seems almost a waste of time now to even try load a web page there.
