The Powers That Be decided it was obsolete as most modern figures don't use it, nor the genitalia switch.
There is a script somewhere about that will allow one to access these functions, but I can't seem to lay hands on the download location at the moment...
EDIT: Here t'is

What exactly is RTE doing, Is it placing a different UV on , lets say La Femme from, lets say V4 ? or is that texture converter which only lets you fit the textures to a different UV ?
neither; it is an encryption format that requires a key file for decoding. As it's usually used for Poser files, a modified .obj is encrypted against the base. This allows the modified ,obj to be distributed legally since the base is required to decode it. As noted above it 's not difficult to use, but requires some browsing to install a file thus encoded.
As far as " load, conform, make art ", no software is, but the competition is making it easier in some ways. I had occasion just today to switch a figure's UV set to better match textures to a FaceGen head morph. It would be nice to have that capability within Poser, too...

This points out a big current shortcoming of Poser which is the inability to swap out UV sets.
Sure but you can have two versions of the same figure with different mapping and replace the one with the other.
True, but one then has to distribute the required .obj files, which is hard to do legally for a third-party product without making it difficult for the user to install; most folks don't want to meddle with UVMapper, or even RTEncoding...

The problem with the single mesh UV topology for both male and female is that it doesnt work. Example: Kyle 1.5, which is my go-to mesh these days, is based off Krystal, and the result is that the chest textures on Kyle get shoved way out of proportion and squeezed into the valley between Krystal's breasts, something that also affects how clothing is rebuilt in Wardrobe Wizard: it's like it's looking for breasts that no longer exist because the UVs are telling it that they're there. I've finally figured how to make it work, but only through a lot of trial and error, and even then it's not as good as it could be.
This points out a big current shortcoming of Poser which is the inability to swap out UV sets.
As far as discussion of the Miki series goes, my favorite Miki is Miki 2 because she has a beautifully detailed shape. However, she doesn't bend particularly well and I'm not skilled enough to weightmap her...

Gwild, when I installed the update it activated automagically.
As for as the support site goes, I too see no way to create an account. Neither my Renderosity nor SmithMicro credentials work, so I don't know how one manages one's licenses, other than possibly by submitting a support ticket...

EULAs aren't considered legally binding in the EU anyways.
I looked that up. Seems a lot depends on the language used. Unfortunately you'll probably have to pay someone some legal fees to find out.
Got nothing to do with the wording. A contract is only considered legally binding if it is signed by the person, and simply ticking off a checkbox is not considered a signature.
That's just it, though. EULAs aren't contracts, they're agreements between the parties involved....
Isn't a formal agreement between parties a contract?

I just started up Poser Pro 2014. Works like always. Can't say what Game Dev will or won't do.
PP 2014 did not have the phone-home feature, whilst Game Dev did, even though it is the same code with a different serial number that turns on that "feature".
I'm told that a Game Dev serial number does work to activate 11.2; I haven't yet tried it, but it does work on the Poser Software download website to unlock the restricted content...

Look, yeh I get it, but I do this as a hobby. ...
I just downloaded and installed the update, and it worked just like a Smith Micro update. I told the installer to use my existing preferences and browsed to my current content path. No fuss and I didn't even have to reenter my serial number...

Does that mean that licenses for Game Dev will go away too?
It means the license for Game Dev will return an error message saying "This serial number has expired" when you attempt to launch it.
Unless you update using the system from Bondware tomorrow.
So there is an update for Game Dev then?
Yes it will update to 11.2 version.
So, does that mean I can use the Game Dev serial with 11.2, or does it mean that I need to buy an upgrade?

All of the Early Adopter versions are 11.2 - and then some. The one that's currently there, posted 09-17-2019 10:09 pm, is 11.2.263
Ok, so it's not the Gold Release. Thanx!
