I think I recall in another forum on PS that if you add noise and then blur it will wipe out the banding.

Thread: RAM? system?? PS6 lighting effects problem - big crashes :( | Forum: Photoshop
I have PS 6 and have had no problems...my paintings run between 65 and 120 megs. The problem you are having is probably hardware. I use two hard drives , the second hard drive is partioned into 3 drives which I use for swap disks. Another part of the problem can be ram. My pentium 3 has 712 megs of ram, and my pentium 4 has 512 megs of sd ram. Prior to these upgrades, I locked up constantly and was reformatting about every six weeks. Dell was going broke supporting me.

Is it possible to move poser to another drive without uninstalling it and re installing on the new drive. I have had similiar problems even though I defrag frequently. In other words can I just grap the curious labs folder to a different drive?

True....no program is going to give you more than what you have in the original image. But photoshop can improve how the data appears. A small image in reasonably good shape can look ok with the stair interpolation....much better than what photoshop can do by itself.

Thanks....your last chart never said where to put PZ3 files so for a long time I never downloaded them cuz couldn't figure out where to put them. But you first chart was a life saver when I first started. All of you stuff has been the most comprehendable for me. Keep up the good work..it is priceless.

I have found that by using a program found on Fred Miranda's site (mainly photography) called "Stair Interpolation" I get excellent results in printing photos and artwork I do. The progran was free last time I checked. It is a photoshop action so you will of course need photoshop to run it.

I have found that a program Fred Miranda has called Stair Interpolation is excellent....and was free when I got it. It does not magnify artifacts as you increase the size of a picture. Go to google and type in fred miranda and you will find his site.
Thread: Poser4 Swap File Question | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I have a similar situation as above, lot of programs on c drive. I have a second hard drive with 3 20 gig partitions. Will poser run on a separate drive by itself without having windows on the same drive?
Thread: Curious Lab technical support | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
About four years ago I bought a Dell computer because of their highly touted tech support. I was a total neophyte with computers...they actually terrified me. I managed to screw that thing up in everyway possible the first 18 months. I can't count the times Dell helped me reformat. I am surprised they didn't put a separate tech person in just for me. Never cost me a dime and the support was incredible. I have sold 5 dell computers just by my high praise. I bought another one this year geared for the 3d apps. Had some problems.....they came out and replaced the motherboard...no problem. My point is that dell is the best damn computer company in the world (in my opinion). They set the model for good business. Curious labs would do well to follow a successful business model. Dell takes damn good care of it's customers......and sells 5000 computers a day!
